Is Campaign playable anymore?Follow

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I've returned to the game after a few years and I noticed Campaigns battles are empty. I really wanted some of the r/e gear from AN. Is it still possible to solo in campaign if no one else is there? Or is Campaign dead now? :(

You can get them eventually, but I don't see much point in it aside from the Rose Strap and maybe being a completionist. You'll probably never see the stronghold battles again at this point.

Just keep in mind you don't have to win a fight to get points, but you're certainly better off on targeting locations with high fortifications and potential NPC defenders just to avoid short battles. Remember, progress in Campaign is entirely time-based by the minute, no more and no less. Generally speaking, you'll want to cycle tags every 10-15 minutes depending on how many categories you can contribute with on your job. Unfortunately, the 5 day evaluation period still exists, so there's no shortcut to the top-rank stuff. But a little persistence will get you there eventually.

Campaign is a lot of fun to solo and on Asura at least there is always a few people doing some battles. Grauberg is often a great place to solo and Sarutabaruta.

You might not necessarily be able to WIN the battles as the only player present (this will vary though, depending on the condition required for the battle to end, whether you are there from the start of the battle, and how good you actually are), but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't still be able to earn XP/AN from battles.

If anything, the main issue you might encounter nowadays is that the beastmen have probably dominated most of the regions on your server, meaning that the number of areas for defensive campaign battles (the ones where you don't have fortifications to beat on) might be few and far between. Most offensive campaign battles have only fortifications to beat on, which are pointless and yield few points.
