Along with AOL, Compuserve, Geocities, Angelfire, Lycos, Excite, and AltaVista. I doubt anyone but the old timers will remember anything of value from the proto days of the internet. If it still exists.

Before that it was random poorly typed letters from a loyer in Anywhere Africa, asking for info for bannking info. So they can send you oil fortune from some randoom wich guy that had no heirs..

You have 30 days to reply or wi will forfit your claim. Kupo! Smiley: moogle

Even though you're warning people not to go to that site, I'm just going to remove the link altogether. I obviously can't stop people from going to that site entirely, but I don't want these forums to be one of the places where they could get to it.

This thread prompted me to try and find my old old old ancient Angelfire page, but I couldn't. If anyone finds an Angelfire page with a tiled cloud background and copious amounts of dub Sailor Moon pictures, let me know-----oh, wait.

I don't remember enough about my old page to be able to find it again. Everything I can remember about it you can find on 50,000 other webpages from the same era. Smiley: lol

I learned HTML when I was 14 from going to "View page source" and experimenting with what lines/tags of HTML did what. I later bought an HTML book and realized I knew 90% of everything in there besides how to manipulate tables better. Angelfire was the site I did all that experimenting on.

Now I go to angelfire and it's all changed to another web editor. :(

Ha ha! Everything I know about html (admittedly, not much) I learned from angelfire too! Same idea. Took existing code, played around with it, and checked what happened. My site was a monstrosity of scrolling, blinking text.

I hated all the random Angelfire sites I'd find that looked like they were built to induce seizures.

It's possible to relive the old days...

This is what this forum would have looked like if it had been done on Geocities:

http://wonder-tonic.com/geocitiesizer/content.php?theme=3&music=4&url=www.zam.com/forum.html?forum=10

(You can apply it to any site - http://wonder-tonic.com/geocitiesizer/ )

All you need for that is to go to seizurerobots.com. I'd make the link, but it appears to have other stuff on the site now (meet girls in your area) so don't know how safe it is.

Most RMT activity right now is centered around selling power-leveling services in Abyssea. You'll pay them for X number of hours, park yourself in the zone they tell you to, and then they'll cleave burn mobs down to level you up. That's where most of their gil is coming from nowadays.

Be aware that this service is also provided by legit linkshells working on relic weapons, as it's the fastest way to raise large volumes of money in short amounts of time. If you don't recognize the name shouting, or when you get there the person doing the cleaving is pretty crappily geared and keeps dying, then it's probably an RMT account. Smiley: lol

That may be the case on your server, but on Lakshmi, those services are offered by RMT only.
