two Abyssites of Destiny (which supposedly helps with Gold Sturdy Pyxides).
Just FYI, the way that those work is that each of those abyssites you have gives a small chance to make a chest drop as though you had capped amber light, even if you don't have capped amber light. They basically only help as you're working on your lights, and don't help at all after that, although they can still be quite nice. I remember once going into Abyssea - Attohwa, and the very first mob I killed after I entered dropped empyrean feet in the box. That wouldn't be possible without at least one abyssite of destiny.
Eh, I don't know if there's been any definite testing done, but to me it doesn't seem to work like that. Or rather, I should say, it seems that with the abyssites it simply lowers the threshold of a certain light you need to get into the next tier. I know with barely 80 azure now it's basically "capped" for me due to getting all T5 chests at that point. Amber's somewhere around 120~ (I still need to get all the reputation/quests finished for everything but tri-boxing kills a lot of motivation for that sort of thing), and Ruby's probably around the same as Amber.
I know with Ruby's almost impossible for me find any "normal" chest lights (Perle, Azure, Amber, Ruby) because even with just a few kills they begin to get replaced with Gold/Silver/Ebon. Which, is great when you're trying to get capped Gold and some Ebon for EXP farming... not so much if you're trying to get Perle up a bit higher (but with most abyssites that usually isn't a huge issue anymore).

The main thing that's going to help you with Gold Pyxide farming is kill speed.
This is the most important part, even beyond what abyssites you have. If you have a job that can AE farm effectively (BLU, NIN, THF, MNK, WAR -- BLM has too much downtime for my tastes until your gear goes beyond what the other jobs need to AE farm) it'll go
much, much faster for you.
