Hey, I play on cereberus server where I was trying to create linkshell for Alcoholics anoymous with no succes as I took the completely wrong approach at presenting it. I'd be willing to try again but its possible people have blacklisted me for basically having a break down in Jeuno in front of everyone.
I need an alcoholics anonymous or any type of support group LS.
I hope somewhere in the land of forum trolls maybe, just maybe, someone will come out of the woodwork to atleast point me in the right direction.

I go to meetings in town, but I want to have this for a game I love. Thanks for everything.

Eeeeeeh unfortunately I can't help you there. My LS is full of folks that drink, including myself.

Good luck, though.

Busa and I make a point of drinking while playing FFXI. Most of our NNI clears involved this actually.

My reputation as the drunken bard of Seraph followed me to Bismarck, for good reason. Back when I ran/pulled Dynamis, it entailed a good stiff drink at the run start. I usually keep it to 0-1 a day these days, though, because there's a LOT of calories in alcohol....

Yea but its carbs that's the enemy. Stick to hard liquor and you'll be fine! That's what I do :p

Ethanol metabolizes into sugar. It's not a matter of beer vs. liquor.

You guys remember Soracloud? (Actually I think he changed his name on Alla to Hallertau). So yeah, he quit a long while back... but he was pretty much Allakhazams expert on all that has to do with drunken-ness and alcohol. Back on Gilgamesh, legend had it he was permanently barred from the Marble Bridge Tavern because he got himself hammered, got into a barfight with some Red Mage, and was later seen licking an undisclosed jelly off an undisclosed crab's undisclosed body part while singing an undisclosed song about an undisclosed president of Bastok >_>

Last I recall, he had taken up home on the streets in Sandoria, panhandling out in front of either the Lion Springs Tavern, or the Rusty Anchor Pub. I guess whenever he scrounged up enough money, he just went in and helped himself to a drink. *shrug*

I also recall WAYYYYY back when FFXI came out in the states, I was in a party with him in Korroloka (hardly any of us had obtained advanced jobs by then), and he was a little tipsy as well. That was the day the Gilgamesh server coined the phrase "DONT POKE THE FVCKING JAMMER LEECHES!"

...Friends dont let friends drink and exp :(

While this will soon get lost in the one of the thousands of forum pages here. I'm still seeking for answers myself(and always will be) I'll also always be around if someone needs to talk to as well. Feel free to get ahold of me on here, or on cereberus, on vayyne or poopdollar(yeah they actually let use that name lol)

Except you don't get fat from calories, you get fat from having an elevated blood sugar level for long periods of time which keeps you from burning regular carbohydrates and fats. This is why alcoholics are more prone to diabetes, which is a step further when your body starts overadapting to constant high blood sugar and burns out its own insulin system. If you didn't have to pound a half dozen pisswater beers to get drunk you wouldn't have calorie issues either.

But keep buying those diet plans and counting calories dude. My next rant will be about starvation modes making weight loss even harder.

If you just cut calories, your body presumes you're having difficulty hunting/gathering and will attempt to store energy to survive. If you eat well and then do the exercise to burn it down you will lose weight as your body tries to adapt to higher exertion rates and endurance requirements.

tl;dr Your body is a carefully self-tuning machine that seeks efficiency and survival, feed it and work it and it will adapt to working. Starve it and sit on your *** and it will try to fatten up and hibernate.

Learn to modern fitness. Do you even lift?
