I had the same issue with my lappy.
Roll back the driver a bit:
Right click bottom left corner -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters -> Right click HD 4000 -> Properties -> Driver tab -> Update Driver... -> Browse my computer... -> Let me pick... -> Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.2)
Be careful Windows Update doesn't just put the new driver back on.
