I'm just returning to the game after a long time away so forgive my ignorance....... But what is a FC party??? I'm gathering its some way of power leveling, but how exactly? And why is it banned?

It involves using the decently powered Area of Effect Greataxe Weaponskill "Fell Cleave" (FC), to take out large groups of monsters at once, where a puller normally brings them to you, and a dedicated healer makes sure you stay alive. It only takes two to three people to do effectively, which means there's 15 to 16 EXP-leech spots in the alliance left for people to ride on. Spots usually sold for redonkulous amounts of gil compared to the amount of EXP it produces (especially in a bad and slow RMT group), but the participants can just stand there and AFK for hours.

Now Fell Cleave burning monsters isnt illegal by itself. Anyone can and is allowed to do it. It's just that RMT are currently using the gil earned from this to sell for actual money. Which naturally isnt allowed.
