As the title states I'm returning to the game and in desperate need of people to socialize with. Not a newb by any means but have not played in 3+ years (rerolled for the free month to test the waters and I am liking what I see!) Few jobs at 75 have the new expansions except for Abyssea.

I just rerolled not too long ago on Asura myself. Just about to hit 40 for the first time, but I'm getting a little bored and the game seems so empty. I'm currently in the leveling process, but I'm around character name's Rhenford.

How to find a linkshell? Check out one of the dozen other posts on this forum about new/returning players. Usually someone will have already replied about an open and very social linkshell. Those invitations are not just for the original posters of those threads, anyone here is free to join their server and contact those players about their linkshell.
While it can be harsh to hear, if you've only been playing for a few days (or weeks), but these linkshells are on a different server, I'd just go ahead and start all over. It can be a little tedious to redo what you've already done, but it goes 10x faster the second (or fifth or sixth) time and it'll be more enjoyable with people you can chat with. There's also a server transfer service, but it's not free.

I myself have checked the above mentioned type threads and while searching in game have not come across people who claim to have recruiting linkshells. I've also tried using the Linkshell Community off the official game website but again posts are dated 2010 or before and most links for external ls sites are dead, couple that with the threads that are seriously out of date it doesn't make finding a new home easy :( I'm sorry if my starting a new thread annoyed anyone, my apologies, I thought I would save time by putting it out there that there's a returning player eager to join in on the fun.

I have a linkshell. We always accept new and returning players. We also do events such as atmas, megabosses and other abyssea stuff. 50% of the members are from Europe and 50% are from North America, so there will always be someone on all the time. We always lend a helping hand. If your interested contact Carefree, Arumok, Raynman, Levieen, Falciont or Pongratz for a pearl on the Asura server. We would be happy in having you join.

Heh, I know. I just rerolled. But while I'm here looking for a linkshell I might as well make a couple of friends, right?

Hi, I know this thread is about a week old by now but I just started on Asura and I would really like to be a part of a linkshell. My character name is Miquote and im a level 10 thief, though I prefer the term treasure hunter :)
I'll be online later today, and I plan to play fairly often so finding me online shouldn't be too difficult.
I'm a fairly helpful person and I don't mind going out of my way to do things that don't benefit me any, even if it takes up most of my free time, I don't mind.
