But i have the Problem that Abelard dont want to give me the missions, telling me that all he is doing is meditation when their is a disagreement.
is this quest somehow fame related, or hometown reladted
Does anyone of you already had that problem...

To do the mission 'An Explorer's Footsteps' you need Selbina Reputation 1 according to Wiki.

Ok, but isnt Reputation 1 the one you have already even without doing quests?
I did already subjob quest, so i guess it should be at least 1

SE added another requirement to this quest at some point because RMT used to spam this on level 1 mules with pos hacking. It's either level 18 or a certain amount of play time, but I can't remember which. Are you on a new char and if so what level are you?

Well im level 40 Whm, so level shoudnt be a problem.
But at BG Wiki it says Fame Level 4???

Fame 4 makes sense, considering it was made as a anti-RMT meassure to prevent new characters from generating a bunch of gil with poshack tools.
If you want to do the quest, it should be fairly easy to get Fame4 just by trading a few stacks of millioncorn or something, which is pretty much the recommended steps for any lowbie/new character these days
