Looking for a group of people to play with! Let me know the best server to go and your characters name! :) Really eager to get back into this game!
I don't think that is necessary. Just pick a server and go. I haven't been on a while, but I assume activity will be low for awhile until the new expansion. This isn't 2003 anymore either, so I wouldn't come in expecting a lot of help from people doing everything that you're doing. A lot has changed.
I wouldn't expect any kind of help, period.
Having multiple 99 jobs, I can do alot by myself. But on the other hand my wife, who is a new player, tried to get help from 2 different shells while I was at work or asleep, DefiantFFXI-2 and NoSephiroth. NoSeph completely ignored her and those who I thought were good ppl in DefiantFFXI demanded gil in exchange.
The times where ppl would help for the fun of it, are over and have been. Even though gil is easy to come by now, it seems to be king in this game, regardless of how worthless gil is now. It is sad that people like Bearstar of Bismarck, claim to be all about helping but ignore you when it is in her best interest, and how the folks of DefiantFFXI-2 demand gil in exhange for helping for the easiest of tasks.
The player base of this game is pathetic anymore, and I'm ashamed of all the nOObs that play this game, just to say they did.

Former Mega Boss of ValiantKnights(VK) of Bismarck. It makes me so proud even to this day, that anyone involved with VK, still calls me Mega Boss. Dirant, Sirbob and Neoyurikraz, I love you guys. It makes a grown man humble, to think that his ideas made you all back him til the end and even til this day. I miss those memories we made, and I truly miss you guys. I hope everyone involved with that shell, is insanely happy in their lives(even those I hate n BL'ed(Ladysorrow).

I encourage friendly, fair play in the linkshell, and we have monthly in-game events with gil as rewards. We never charge to mercenary whether it be in-shell, or out-of-shell. We want to stand out by giving back to Vanadiel, and hope that people join this linkshell while they grow up in Vanadiel, and do the same.
