Quick easy question about Wings of the GoddessFollow

I realized i might like to have Atma of the Future Fabulous for some solo's. But i'll need to finish Wings of the Goddess missions for it, like, all of them.

How soloable are they (or up to which point) for a good geared infinite-reraise (Empy)SAM/DNC, DRK, PLD, BST or a mage-ey RDM, BLM, BLU?

Also, how long would take that someone? I'm on like... mission 8 or something since i never really needed it. I remember soloing the Dragon in La Vaule on BLU back when the level cap was still 75, so i really dont think this would be awefully hard, but still.

Depending on the route, there are some missions that would be tough to solo for anyone but might be duoable and are definitely trio-able. My static was a BST, a BLM, and me on WHM for the tougher missions.

Specifically, there's an escort type quest along the Windy path that I was stuck on for years - you have to keep an NPC alive while fending off a horde of orcs and taking down a belfry. A BST/WHM might be able to pull it off, except for the hate issues if you got aggro. And people tend to get bogged down on the Behemoth mission in the Sandy storyline.

Other than the aforementioned protect mission (all 3 cities get one, all at the same time), I just about solo'd my way all the way to Mission 37 on PUP/NIN using mostly Soulsoother. There were a few missions where things got hairy, but nothing really devastating until the point where I am.

The only mission I had a problem was during an open pop fight in Beaucedine Glacier (S) where you need to pop 5 mobs in the middle of aggressive mobs.

Ive been soloing these as DRG/RDM. Only have a few problems so far and that was the fight vs the ocs and having to keep excenmille alive, and i am now stuck on the fight vs the 2 spitewardens and having to keep Lillisette alive. SInce you have RDM leveled you can cheese these types of fights because the NPC's are perfectly capable of killing things, but they need a cure bot on them. So, in essence, you can probably solo this whole mission line, except maybe the final fight.

Keep in mind this is level 75 content. Most of it should be a breeze, but the escort missions are so goddamn stupid you still need a few people for those at least.

I solo'd nearly the entire Windurst path on BLU (duo'd Howl from the Heavens with a WHM, stupid wards have the HP of a Taru BRD30...). Also had to solo the latter half of San d'Oria's path since my LS static for these missions fell apart shortly after completing WotG via Bastok's quest line. Seemed like I was the only one interested in doing these for the story. =/

The only other time Windurst's quests gave me trouble was in The Long March North. That took me three tries, but that was primarily because I screwed up the first two with misjudging Dream Flower range (Ahrimans were out of range and slept me before I could poison myself to avoid Sleepga) and in the second attempt the boss woke up before I finished with his minions. Other than that, I effortlessly blitzed through these quests, even the final two battles, which took like three minutes each. Surprised by how weak they turned out to be.

Each nation path seems to have that one mission that stands out as much harder than the rest, and they're all at the same point (Quest 11, as shown on the wiki's mission page). I'd say that San d'Oria's Blood of Heroes is the hardest of the three. I needed to drag some LS mates up to that point just to finish it. Then I just breezed through the remaining missions solo. San d'Orias Bonds That Never Die might give you some trouble, but you can probably zerg that down on SAM.

I'm not so sure about Bastok's path since I finished that long ago at 75 with a static, but looking through the missions again, they don't seem like they'd be too difficult for a 99 with your jobs. Maybe some difficulty with What Price Loyalty and Bonds of Mythril?

As for the main missions themselves, I don't think you should have that much trouble until perhaps Darkness Descends. Though a friend just solo'd that on SCH by just keeping the NPC cured. Only other potentially difficult one is When Wills Collide. You face four enemies at once. You can solo this by having a supply of Reraise and fighting by the entrance. Kill one or two, die, reraise and repeat. The final battle should be simple on BST.

Overall, if you're just looking to finish through one path, I'd highly recommend Windurst's. The two quests which might give you trouble aren't in battlefields, so anyone can help.

Adelheid is dumber and dies faster than Excenmille. You have to kill everything that attacks her, she has weird supertank mechanics on everything so you can't just poisonga them off of her or something, and to top it all off in the last two waves when mobs that can one shot her with a nuke (this was the last straw for me) show up she starts running around in circles like a f*cking **** and kites mobs away from you trying to melee them.

I know the Sandoria version has the catch that Excenmille can decide to attack the boss and make it hard to keep him alive, but Adelheid is pants on head retarded and there is nothing you can do about it. She is trying to get herself killed the whole time and the only mitigation is healing or sleepga, period.

I'm still stuck on the tree in Jugner; 0/3 on that right now. It's the one thing standing between me and my new Jeunoan flag. Smiley: mad
