Hello guys, after several years away from the game I would like to come back but my ps2 was stolen... my ps3 that had backward compatibility just blow up XD and my old PC that runs FF also die.

So I don't really want to buy a new PC instead I have a friend that have an Xbox 360 whitout hard disk (4gb version) and never use it then I won't need to buy a pc nor xbox 360.

My questions:

1.- Can I use any Hard Disk on that Xbox 360?
2.- Can I install Final Fantasy XI on any HDD on that Xbox 360?

I don't have any kind of copy for Final Fantasy XI and it's really impossible to get one where do I live.

3.- Will work a fake/pirate/back up copy of FF XI or even download an ISO to install it on my Xbox 360? If that so, I will buy the ultimate version for PC get codes and play without problem on Xbox 360 right?

In advance I thank you all for helping me.

If this post it's missplaced please move it where it's supposed to be.

I'm no expert, but I'd be extremely surprised if the 360 played anything other than an official copy of a 360 disc without some sort of physical modification to the hardware. If modding your system is something you're interested in, I'm sure there's a variety of resources online for that.

You can try to find a used copy and get PC codes from anywhere. The registration codes are not platform specific. It looks like a used copy ranges form $30-50 these days for XBox, at least on EBay and Amazon.

When the game is downloaded, like all downloaded games on the Xbox 360, a hidden content ID is connecting the game to the hard drive and console.

That being said, if you have two Xboxes with FFXI on both, you CAN use the hdd from one to the other, but will get an error message about the game not being installed. You can then either redownload it (I'm sure you don't want to), or go to the Viewer and "Check Files" so it can fix the "connection" (this method requires you to do it each time the game is booting up).

All in all, don't bother!

I don't care if I do 1 damage or 9999 damage. My ultimate goal is to tank and secure us a win.

Thank you for the reply.

Now I've got an Xbox 360 slim got a DD and somehow got an original FF XI disk but doesn't have WoTG expansion. My question:

It's possible to instal the expansion WoTG from a backup disk or from a flash drive?

Nope. Need a real disc.

This is why nobody should play on 360 if they can help it.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Airships on fire off the shoulder of Bahamut. I watched Scapula Beams glitter in the dark near the Three Mage Gate...

I'm actually hoping that SE releases a 5 disk Xbox rollup box set after Seekers has been out for a while. (Along with a rollup box set for PC.)

Then again, that assumes they're releasing a physical disk for Seekers and it's not just a very large DLC.

I can't understand anyone who skips the cutscenes of a Final Fantasy game. That's like going to Texas and not getting barbecue.
