A really long time ago, i honestly dont remember when, SE ripped out the old Font and made us select a new one. I randomly picked one so i could play, but i never really liked how my Emotes and other things looked. For instance, my "ô" still shows up as "?", now i rarely use those, or similar ones, but still.
Does anyone know what the original font was called (If you can still select it), or know a font that's really similar and looks fairly like the original one. Thank you in advance.

Is this an XI question or an XIV question? I don't remember this happening at all in XI. They changed the font to a more high rez version of the same font but we were never given a choice about it or anything. The only alternative XI fonts I'm aware of were .DAT modifications and as far as I know, those all broke when they updated to the current font.
But if someone knows better, I'd love to see what other font options there are.

I'm almost certain this is an XIV question, you're allowed to change the game's font in its configuration utility to any font installed on your system.

Sorry, but it really is an XI question. Ever since the HD update a bit ago, my font is really messed up.

The bold part is what's causing people problems. I just copy/pasted "ô" into my chat and it looks like a regular O. We were never given a choice on font. You must be thinking of a font mod in which case you're gonna need to give us more info on what you used to have.

I guess that part i may have confused with FFXIV (just checked and is lacking the option to set it in XI). But still, the current font is kinda crap for me... My character still looks like he's called "Su riv ere". But i guess theres no way to change it then...... *sigh*
