To be fair, you can also use much suckier dagger skills like gust slash etc, though it certainly isn't optimal. At least, however, you don't need super high dagger skill to get to that point, and your pet can do most of the DoT to whittle prey down.

As someone who has done it, however, it is really really annoying. You're better off getting skilled up so you can use better WS.
