And then there are the countless F2P games that no one ever got to hear of, much less got enough notice that people remembered them when they pulled the server plug.

I probably should have been more specific.
If I wanted to make a list, it would be either:
1. Pay-to-play games that have shut down completely (SWG, The Matrix Online, etc)
2. Pay-to-play games that flopped and changed models, going Free-to-play or whatever (LotRO, DDO), probably marked with an asterisk in the list
Notice that FFXIV wouldn't technically be on the list, even in the second category.
