Here I thought I'd solved the problem with this STUPID @#%^ING MISSION WITH THIS BRAINDEAD BINT but no... Unlike every other NPC in every other battlefield I can think to use it in, you can't Embrava her e_e

If you can't prot/shell an NPC, you can't Embrava either. She can only be cured, no regen, no buffs at all.

And yes, she is incredibly stupid.

She's not THAT bad. At least she's not pulling an Excenmille on you and AoEing all the slept mobs with weak attacks that I can't imagine were put in the game for any other reason than to wake up slept mobs...

Yeah, she just automatically generates hate on all of them but is somehow still supertanking them that you can't take hate with cures.

It's also the fact that they spawn and run to her, so you can't work ahead or something at all.

No, waking slept mobs is one thing, agroing a pack of them and then doing something like spamming boosts to generate hate is just making trouble. At least Excenmille can be Embrava'd and kept alive and whatnot, even if he's a bit of a wimp. Fire in the Hole dicks with game mechanics too much and it's absolutely stupid that this interferes with progression so much.

Two BLMs should be able to duo it pretty easily, though. Just -aga them down, but it's definitely a very annoying (or even impossible?) mission to solo.

You pretty much need a form of AoE sleep, preferably multiple forms of it, to comfortably win. Once you have that, it becomes pathetically easy. (BLU can solo it, for instance; they've got a ton of sleep spells. You might need to stall at some points to recover MP, but again, since Adelheid doesn't actually attack anything, stalling is no problem.) It's definitely one of the easiest of WotG's "escort" battlefields.

Having AoE sleep for Blood of Heroes is... not quite enough, at all. Having done all the WotG content, I can comfortably say that it's probably the hardest fight of all the missions and mission-quests, simply because Excenmille will actively try to get himself killed, and 8 mobs in the battlefield can do a pretty good job of that. It is the only WotG fight that I was never able to solo.

I didn't get that far in the Sandy branch, but... Is he so weak that Embrava doesn't make him a god? I know Lilisette is pretty competent herself, but Embrava is still the key to make her a godess of destruction and battlefield-clearing.

It's not really so much that he's weak, it's that the battlefield is against 8 mobs, the combined force of which is enough to take him down in about 15 seconds or so without any support. Lilisette never has to go against anything like that.

Hmm I really didn't have a problem with that fight. With 4 people at 75 We had one person kite all of them while the other 2 just took down whoever Excenmelle decided look tasty. We did it early on so just taking down the boss wasn't common knowledge.(I think it was on release day actually) I think we 1/1 it. That bastok quest took several tries especially since those mobs do not sleep the normal amount of time if I remember correctly.

Rocking Phantasy star online 2. And loving it! Hopefully sega get's it right this time. They are having a much better start this go around then Universe but still a ways off calling it a hot contender in today's MMO market.

Well duh, of course it's easy with that many people. Try it with 1 or 2, which is what many people have to do for their WotG missions due to the fact other people who aren't on/past the fight can't enter it to help.

Never noticed any issue with sleep duration. They might gain sleep resistance if you sleep them too many times, but you can't spend THAT much time sleeping them or you'll run out of time anyway.

^ That's really the only reasonable way I can think of to solo the fight, however when I tried a similar strategy the kid woke all the mobs and promptly died.

There is no "supertanking" these fights btw; the orcs will all periodically reset hate on you and revert back to attacking Excenmille, just like the quadavs do to Adelheid. I learned this in both fights the hard way. Only the NPCs are capable of supertanking them anyway (although supertanking is a bit of a stretch of the term, considering how easily they both die) since they are the ones that get initial aggro on all the mobs.

Assuming you meant Kaustra... only the "main" NM orc has to die. The rest of them are much better off slept (for as long as Excenmille allows them to, anyway)

IIRC both the PLD and his "pet" bugard are immune to sleep, so it's only the 6 helper orcs that can be slept.
