Like the owl (who always turns its head in relation to where you are), the spider will ascend and descend along its web line depending on how close you are to it. It's always the fine details like this that really helps immerse people in the game imo.

You know, I don't necessarily have a problem with spiders, but every single time I see those spiders, it creeps me the @#%^ out.
One of my personal favorites, though, are the fish tanks. The fish actually move around in them, rather than just being stationary prettiness. It's really amusing, for some reason.
