Me and few friends were thinking of jumping in on this after I had tested the trial, was a rough start but got the hang of it after doing the good old"Hit all the buttons test" Haha, but anyways, with the upcoming expansion, should I buy the abyesea collection on steam now? or should I wait for the next to come on it and see if it gets bundled in or will it even have a cost at all?
The new expansion will probably cost $30. We do not know when it will be released (2013 sometime) and it's unlikely that it will be bundled with everything else for a while after that.
Judging by the little information we do know about this upcoming expansion, I would guess that it will not be required for newer players in the same way that Abyssea access is almost required.
I would buy the Abyssea collection. If you still enjoy FFXI when the new expansion is released, you can make a decision then if you'd like to pick it up.

30$'s? stand alone or would it come with an additonal months time, or not sure yet? and we are mostly waiting on that update, so I guess we will wait and see. thanks for the info.
In the past, a full expansion had a cost of $30 and it was just the game, no additional "free" months.
If you're waiting for it to be bundled, I'd guess it'll be 12-18 months before we see that considering we do not have a release date for the expansion.

Ah, okay thanks. hopefully we all hear more soon, this is first mmo in a long time that I've wanted to play for more then week haha, darn koreans are getting beyond lazy with their games these days, they don't even bother with proper translations anymore.
