Sure beats 1-2 years of them sucking horribly and becoming unpopular because they don't have vital equipment to play on the level that the other 20 can.
Well unless SE changes their mind about RUN and access to trial 216, then yes it's gonna suck hard. People will be all happy at first, once the new job smell wears off and the comparisons are run to figure out "where" to place it in events, that's when things will turn ugly. We don't "tank" anymore due to the horribly broken enmity system, thus any "tanking" abilities RUN gets are pretty much wasted. Leaves them with their offensive capabilities, which it appears SE is trying to severely limit prior to release. No OaT Fulgurante means swinging something like a Jingang Sword and permanently being relegated to 2nd or 3rd tier offensive capabilities. At that point it becomes a question of "Bring another SAM/DRK/WAR/MNK/DRG/THF/BLU or bring a RUN". It doesn't have Aegis / OChain so it won't be holding the six adds the NM spawns, nor will it be holding the super mega NM of death while your group fights the other super mega NM of death. Kinda leaves the job concept in a limbo, similar to other "good idea on paper, bad idea in practice" from SE.

Nothing in this game is impossible if you set yourself to the task of actually doing it. Even dumb people can only hold you back for so long.
when you're hefting something that deadly, you don't miss - mobs get the @#%^ out of the way instead...
