Must have misread something mentioned earlier. I saw comments in regards to the start of the month, and since it wasn't shaping up to be July given that they weren't going to give out Heroines' Holdfast orbs till after the Test Server event (which ended on the 27th), I just came up with August.
There are reports of some items being given out now.

The odds of winning are around 140-160 to 1(?), so a lot of people won't win anything. I really wanted the Moogle Suit too, I could have become a pimp dressed as a Moogle and just said "kupo?" when people wanted a refund.

Well you also have to ponder just how many people actually entered too. Seeing how many known and common names around here that got at least something tells me it's not that long on the odds.
I also thought they were sending everyone that entered an orb at the very least. I'll check again later anyway.

I hope there will be another way to get the orb, did not even when that.. now my friends get to try the new bcnm without me oh well.
I'm disappointed that everyone didn't get some sort of consolation prize, especially considering the event this is replacing did.

On the FFXI Forums 100,000 views have been had of the competitions forum post, if we say each person looked at the post twice we have 50,000 people who entered the NA competition. 10,000 views have been had on the EU post so we knock that down to 5,000 entries.
There are a total of 6251 prizes for NA players

50,000 / 6251 = 7.9 so the odds are around 8:1

As of about an hour ago, my delivery box is still empty. Until I see that announcement that all prizes have been distributed, I guess there's still a sliver of hope...but not much. Oh well, better luck next time, etc., and big congrats to those who did win!

I got Tessera Saio, moogle suit, scythe and an orb. The one thing I really was hoping to get if I won anything was meteor though.
