The odds of winning are around 140-160 to 1(?), so a lot of people won't win anything. I really wanted the Moogle Suit too, I could have become a pimp dressed as a Moogle and just said "kupo?" when people wanted a refund.

I just got my Moogle suit too, seems the deliveries are staggered as it wasn't there before.

On the FFXI Forums 100,000 views have been had of the competitions forum post, if we say each person looked at the post twice we have 50,000 people who entered the NA competition. 10,000 views have been had on the EU post so we knock that down to 5,000 entries.

There are a total of 6251 prizes for NA players
There are a total of 626 prizes for EU players

50,000 / 6251 = 7.9 so the odds are around 8:1
5,000 / 626 = 7.9 so the odds are around 8:1

231 recent visitors to this thread means 28 of those people probably have won a prize so I'm figuring my guesstimate isn't too far off, maybe. At the moment I'm in the "ain't won a thing" category, and I really wanted to dress up like a Moogle too, meh.

As of about an hour ago, my delivery box is still empty. Until I see that announcement that all prizes have been distributed, I guess there's still a sliver of hope...but not much. Oh well, better luck next time, etc., and big congrats to those who did win!

Normally, I'd complain about "never winning these things", but I think I used up all my luck for this sort of thing when I won a plasma screen TV a year or so back, so winning wasn't expected.

I'd have liked to see a Mythic picked, but at least it wasn't an Emp.

This is probably one of the cases where a relic is a better option. Since they were picking for rng, the mythic would have been gastrephetes, which is.... well... on par with Nagi.

But then annihilator would still probably be better.


It's an interesting climate with this giveaway thing. It's like those @#%^ing goblins that give me nothing but rolanberry pies and super ethers. I have no reason to be upset because I'm not out anything. It's a completely free chance for something cool. And this is just a highly blown up version of that.

It seems like with the stagnation in the game right now, at least for me, not winning actually feels like losing. There's just so little going on, it makes me anxious and disinterested, and a completely irrational feeling of being snubbed is a push in the wrong direction.

Not gonna lie, the fact that people can't agree on whether alts and mules are the synonymous or distinct is rather reminiscent of the general public's inability to grasp and remember that sex and gender are two distinct things. This has nothing to do with the conversation, but I'm in a foul mood because of the new 2hours, and the alts/mules thing drives me insane (DB characters are not @#%^ing mules, mules are characters who sit in mog houses and act as extra storage, or who never leave the city and craft their little butts off. Alts are characters you use like a petjob uses their pet.)
