Hi! I've been playing since Monday and enjoying the piss out of this game. I just have a few things I need clarified and I should be all set to sink my teeth into this game

1. Is there any way to get antialiasing in FFXI? I have a 32 inch TV (1080p LCD) I use as a monitor and my graphics card is a GeForce 285GTX. Currently, running around outside of the city makes the sand and grass look like a shimmering goo. I needs helps! I'd even be willing to go the registry hack route, if someone were willing to point me in the right direction. Perhaps there's a way to do it with my NVidia card? You can go advanced with me if you like. I just want to sharpen things up.

2. Emperor Band.. I have like 2700 CP saved up, but the game refuses to let me have this item! What gives? I thought there were no rank restrictions on this. It's maddening to be told I don't meet the requirements for such a basic thing.. Especially since I have thrown away the free Chariot Band I got from the NPC doing the starting "quests."

3. Most importantly. Anyone else on Cerberus here? Add me! I think I'll stick with this game for a bit. The changes have made it fun. I'd even like to be a Smn one day soon!

I don't have the answers to your questions but if you need a home on Cerberus you can look for me in game and I will give you a shell. We have many freshly returned members etc. Someone can probably help you.

I'm on Cerberus as well. Haven't been logged in the last couple of days as I was busy/distracted by the NHL playoffs, but I just returned this week.

1) You can't get true AA the best you can do is oversample the background resolution. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Graphics

2) You can only get one band once a week. Gotta wait till the Conquest reset to buy/recharge a ring. Its at JP midnight on Sunday which is like 10am CST.

Cool! My name is Lefein and I am a Windurstian Taru :) I'll be sure to look for you guys.

I did a registry hack to my background (4x) and it looks a batrillionjillion.. FAFILLION times better! Might pump it up to 8x today since I wasn't dropping frames at 4.
