So years ago when I did DM to finish ZM missions I had the intention of never ever ever lvling a job that needed nin sub so I picked the bushi earring for the str instead of the supp earring. now after quiting the game and coming back to my thf and blu and starting to lvl dnc I am really feeling like its time to get off my *** toss this useless earring and get the good one.

So my question is now that every one except me has multiple 90s and a ton of new job abilities WSs and combos are floating around how would you go about beating this fight these days? whats the minimun number of ppl you think it would take. what kind of strat?

Depends on how pimped out your helpers are.

Recently a RDM solo'd DM by chainspell-nuking AA Elvaan then stacking on a bunch of -PDT gear to melee down the rest of them. With that in mind I'm pretty confident just a party would do, as long as you kill off the Elvaan quickly and use the Supertank method.

Just beat this last night for the first time. A few friends and I ended up joining a pickup alliance (full 18), and we finished in 7:40 with no deaths. It seemed ridiculously easy with that many people now. We started with about 5 BLM AMII Bursting the taru, then slept the pets and melee'd the rest. The mijin gakure was the only time I saw any red on the hit points. I think you could probably get away with a strong party that has a good tank. I have no doubt somebody soloed this, but every time I read how something got soloed or duoed, and how easy it is, I find myself eating dirt. :)

Good luck!

If the NIN's Mijin still causes issues then just have someone hold it at the start of the BC with a healer until the rest of mobs are down.

No, really. PLD solo, RDM solo.

We did this with 6 a few weeks back and it was really easy. We had a NIN supertank everything while we picked stuff off one at a time. No deaths, although we got in a bit of trouble at one point (can't remember what it was, but I think it was the HUME that caused issues).

Made me laugh considering that the last time I did the fight we had 18 people and wiped 3 times before clearing it... that was a long time ago though.

Someday soon my friends, this ride will come to and end, and we can't just get in line again.

Yeah did it as 6 recently and was easy, MNK/WAR MNK/WAR MNK/NIN WHM BLM THF. The Thf kited the set once while the 3 mnk's burned down the blm, each mnk then had one to 100FIST, the MNK/NIN took the SAM so he could put shadows up for Meikyo. Was all very easy, no deaths.

Seems like your not going to attempt a solo 'for kicks' etc so build a solid party of 6 to suit the tactics you wish to use for it - theres many many ways of doing it with a 6man pty now.
