Information for two level 70+ XP camps, both tested and recommended.

Against the Giants

Location: Vunkerl Inlet [I-9]
Opponents: 2x Gigas Marine (WAR), 2x Gigas Deckhand (MNK) and 1x Gigas Jack (RNG)
Level Range: 78-80 (Gigas Jack may have slightly higher range)
Agressive: Yes
Link: Yes
Repop: 5 minutes
Pixie Services: Sprite doesn't quite roam as far as camp.
Camp/Pulling Safety: Excellent.
Camp Access: CA Warp deposits you at [H-10].

These giants are sailors and consort with dark bombs. Reason enough to thin their ranks.

They're conventional giants in that they use lightning attack, and as luck would have it, Vunkerl Inlet has double lightning weather often. Camp is at the end of the little valley just north of [I-9] and the five giants roam in an area just to the south of camp. Camp holds one party, and the limited number of giants means that you can't raise your xp rate by pulling more mobs faster. Good for low level 70 party though.

Running with Death Scissors

Location: Meriphataud Mountains [S] [I-8]
Opponents: Mountain Scolopendrid
Level Range: 79-82
Agressive: Yes
Link: No
Repop: 5 minutes?
Pixie Services: No
Camp/Pulling Safety: Good. (Cockatrice/Raptors DC@71)
Camp Access: CA Warp deposits you at [E-5], Maw at [K-6].

Scorpions have Death Scissors. It's a rite of passage to fight them, right?

Camped near the base of one of the towers in the area. Now, when I've explored this zone before, these towers were flocked with Yagudo, presumably because the Theomilitary controled the zone. For this xp xperiment, Windurst was in charge, and the towers were unbirded. If the Yags control this zone on your server, you might have to move camp a bit. We found enough scorpions to chain 5 easily with short pulls (scorpions are nice and slow, btw), but if you want high/fast chains at higher level, you will have to roam or possibly add in other mobs.

There was something odd about these scorpions. Fought 30-40 of them but couldn't quite figure it out. Sometimes they would use TP moves on pull. Usualy that meant they came to camp buffed with Sharp Strike (atk boost), which is no good, so you dispel it. One scorpion used Cold Breath (bind) when our puller got too close, so you have to be careful. We started out on Firesday with no weather and noticed quickly what seemed like TP regain (like Magmatic Erucas). Day switched over to Earthsday and they were significantly easier to fight. But then later on Earthsday, they seemed prebuffed again. Never noticed any weather. Could be a time of day thing. Also seemed to attack faster in their buffed mode, but that could have been imagination. Would be interested to hear other's experience with these mobs.

Final Note: The scorpions were with a five person party. When calculating level range from xp earned, seemed not to get the Signet xp bonus for a five person party. I did have Sigil active.

Added the above camps.

Added 2 new mobs level. Both located in Fort Kurago-Narugo [S]. Walking Saplings 26-28ish, and Vorpal Bunnies 27-30. I leveled on these as a BST, so I can at least say its a good BST camp.

Added: Sadfly level (more for BSTs to use as pets) and a Clipper level, both found in Batallia Downs.

Fixed the Lycopodium level range.

Added a new section, sorta. I started creating a BST solo thread over in the BST forums, starting at level 20. You can find it on the 1st page, or click here:

Soloing BST in [S]. A level 20+ guide.

Added:

- Battrap levels (35-37), located in East Ronfaure [S], south of the map
- Clipper/Land Pugil levels (38-41), located in Jugner Forest [S] by the zone to East Ronfaure [S]. A seemly great camp for BSTs at the very least (starting at 38).

I'm currently leveling BST, slow but steady, and I'm jumping around areas after 1 or 2 levels. Expect the level list to increase in the next couple of weeks while I try to find other camps to EXP in. See ya in game!

Add this to my comments regarding the Jugner Forest [S] Funguar camp.

Link - Yes
Pixie Coverage - Yes
Monsters that might aggro - There are some Smilodons that may wander close to the path closer to the Campaign Battle area. As you go farther away from the Campaign Battle area (NW direction) there are IT+++ Gnoles that you will have to watch out for, but they are easy to avoid. However, respawns are fast (approximate 5 minutes) and after you get to the area where the Gnoles reside, you can start heading back toward the Campaign Battle area and kill Funguar respawns on the way.

A note about the Gigas camp in Vunkerl Inlet [S]

I took a Lv. 72-73 party out there, and the exp was "meh" at best. 110 for non-chain and 120-160 for chains....not very good exp. I don't think a merit pt would be very happy out here. Once the RDM in our pt hit 74, the bottom fell out on the exp altogether. 70-80 for non-chains, 110-140 for chains. I think this camp is more suited for a group in the upper 60s, to low 70s. My best guess would be 67-72 for optimum exp per kill.

Bump!

I bump this for the sole reason that I want people to remember there is a thread for your EXP Monster Past needs. Keep in mind, this is not just my information, as the Alla community takes maybe more then 1/2 the credit of the info found here. I'm hoping you guys find new juicy mobs and hope you post it here with any information you have. It would be really swell if someone is able to find a very nice Merit Camp, as pre-update there was a severe lack of.

Another slightly less important reason I bump this is to just let you guys know I haven't died or forgotten about this thread, I've just been extremely busy in school. Plus, as of to this date, this is still one of the most accurate guide to levels of monsters found all in the past (versus at least Wiki, KI, and Vanadiel Bestiary). But again, I do not take full credit for this compilation.

Now, I do not do shameless bumps...not my thing. So below is what I updated. At the moment I just updated the summary list; detailed list and info will come later, but if you reall want detailed info please visit my, all that is there. Even if your not a BST, you may find the info use full. Solo BST thread.

Have fun hunting everyone!

Excellent guide. I just solo'd 30-31 RNG using the Worm camp in N.Gusta. The exp really was brilliant and the Pixie cut out any downtime completly with /nin. They all Conned T at 30 and 31. When i hit 32 i will check again.

I used this guide alot awhile back.

Now that I'm lvl'n bst on another account I just had to find it.
Some of the camps have been added to other guides, but a good portion have not.

The xp in many of these camps is like speed lvl'n. Almost as though you
had a pl.

Why the hell was this never stickied?

Instead of sticky, it would be neat if he could add it to the ZAM Wiki. It could use some love.
