I'm on the the junky Xbox 360 chatpad and there are no ctrl- or alt- keys. There is also a bug with getting the "/" key to work, so I've to go the the in-game keyboard to type a "/".

This is unbelievably clunky and frustrating... is there any way at all to make a generic "tell" and/or a "reply" macro? I've been searching but can't find anything.

I know that if I go into the in-game keyboard and hit the TAB key, I can get a ctrl- or alt- button, and it seems to function just like if you'd hit ctrl- or alt- but I still can't get a macro working.

I hope that makes sense... kinda hard to articulate this kinda stuff. Thanks for any help.

lol you bought that piece of junk. Sorry no other way to do it, other than the way you have been doing it.

Why not buy Wireless usb keyboard? (I mean before you bought that other junk).

Kind of a reply macro: "/t <r>"

I think that will give "a command error occurred" or some kind of error like that, but you can hit Space then Up(or w/e the 360 equivalent is) then type in whatever. I think that's the best you're going to get.

Maybe some sort of chatmode macro might help you (given that the built in components are being problematic.)

/cm t <r>
/echo Chatmode set to /tell <r>

This macro would set you so that anything you try to say will default to being sent to the last person who sent you a tell at the time that you hit the macro, giving a little readout saying that it's done that.

You can hit /? /chatmode for a more detailed explanation of how to use /cm, but a few other things you can do with it would include /cm p (party chat) or /cm l (linkshell).

That's not a perfect solution but it might help.

If there is no ctrl or alt key, how are you going to go about using a macro in the first place?

My guess is you have ctrl/alt keys somewhere on one of the two objects and you, for some reason, don't realise it.

Um when playing on 360 and using the controller all you have to do is hit the trigger buttons. I have no idea what your talking about drivers for. I play on 360 , so I know for sure it works.
