I just read this thread and I guess I saw the edited version of the story and not the "racist" one. Sounds like the original might have been improved by some editing before posting. I enjoyed the story btw.
However.
Having the site administrator, Exodus, take it upon himself to change the posting to my mind is BY FAR a bigger concern. What next Exodus, will you be taking on Mark Twain? Lots of racial references there that could use your deft editorial touch.
If you don't want this content in you site, remove it. Changing a posting to satisfy your personal view of political correctness is not something I would expect in a free society.

It didn't take that much effort to remove the racism and keep the joke intact. Shouldn't have been there in the first place.

The only editing that was done is that the SAME jokes that were used racially are directed to more of a random three youngsters versus being "lolblackjokes"

I'm interested in your views on this type of thing. My reference to Mark Twain was not casual. There are many who consider his books racist, that they should be banned or altered. Do you advocate that those books be burned or that someone "improve" on Twain's work so that the ***** Joe and ****** Jim will be written out or replaced by something less offensive.

4) His jokes circled around stereotyping a whole entire race. It wasn't a light hearted thing. It wasn't just a quick jab. It wasn't a casual thing. He spat out hate for pretty much the other half of his little story. All I did was direct his anger to a little more vague of a target. The rest was kept the same.
5) What on earth does a book have to do with Allakhazam.com? There are plenty of racial books out there. Good. Your point? I'm not saying "ZOMG NOBODY SHOULD BE RACIST EVER", all I'm doing is removing the racism within the forums of Allakhazam.. What you read or chose to read outside of these forums is your own prerogative and I could care less.

I'm done discussing my actions as I believe I've explained myself enough. The joke was preserved in the OP without the need of racism. It was either me changing a couple of words or nuking the whole thread indefinitely.

Big WHITE teeth, I'm white, it offends me that something is described as being white. Why couldnt you edit it to say his glaring bright teeth, oh wait, that offends me too since I havent gotten a tan yet this summer.
I'm also offended that one of the "youngsters" calls the op fat, OMG fat?!?!? FAT?!?!?! edit it, it has to say husky, or "weight challenged american" that's better.
Also, d i c k, that REALLY offends me, I have one, and I dont want to think of some Weight challenged american wearing it on his head, must be changed to something less offensive. How about potato, wait, thats sorta white isnt it? Maybe a pumpkin on his head? Anyone offended by the color orange?
Also, you left the part in where he calls himself a gangsta smn, that offends me cause it lends a sterotype to all smn's now that they are Weight challenged african american, and since I may level up smn some time in the future, I dont want to be thought of like that, it offends me.
You also need to edit his op cause his cape is made of squirrel fur, how dare he kill any living animal and use it's pelt to wear as a costume. Thats so offensive to me, it must be edited.
And one last one, all the references to morons and idiots, they MUST be removed, my 2nd cousin slept with my 1st cousin and their offspring is, well, mentally challenged american, so you MUST edit those lines out too, cause it offends me to think of my poor brother/cousin/nephew relative clumsily fumbling around while racist people like you call him moron and stupid. CHANGE IT!!!!

The joke was not kept intact by any means. Reading about a crazy kid getting beat up in the park ain't that funny. Reading about a crazy racist kid getting beat up in the park was worth laughing at.
I can't blame Exo though, he really didn't have much choice. In today's society, people want to be sheltered and protected from everything that might be controvertial and might actually make them think. Welcome to the watered down world of blandness that people built because they don't want to think for themselves. As a moderator, Exo had to do it to protect the company from the lawyers that these ivory tower dwellers like to hire to keep their pretty little imaginary world in tact.

Now it reads as if some mentally unstable/handicapped boy went to the park and while he did start the "fight" he was truly harmless and was beaten up brutally by a youth and ignored by all the passerby and left to fend for himself.
I honestly feel that it is same or more offensive now. Any attempt at cleaning this thread so that it is completely PC will remove any attempt that was made at comedy.

The point I was making was that there is more than just the black stuff that can be construed as offensive.
