How do people even find threads like this to post, much less think its ok to post in them? Seriously, this must have been like page 700 or something.

Wow, i remember this from the 1st time around.

#463REDACTED, Posted: Apr 03 2008 at 11:07 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) So you all know... The second I saw the post count on this message (even before opening it.) I KNEW it was a necro post.

**** thread is still shiiiiiiiiiiit. Even after nearly 2 years.

If you're gonna necrobump something, at least make it something worthwhile to read? Also, if you're gonna refer directly to an OP, it helps if that OP still actually, y'know, uses the forums.
#465REDACTED, Posted: Apr 03 2008 at 12:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If you really think about it, most of the good stff now a days is R/E so why you need to buy gil?
#466 Apr 03 2008 at 12:25 PM Rating: Good
I was about to say... how the hell did a 10-page thread pop up when i've only been off for like a day. Smiley: glare

Your stuff will sell, stop undercutting.

No, it often doesn't.

If there's a stock big enough that people have to undercut to get their stuff to sell within decent time, guess what that usually means? Supply is too big for the demand. Therefore price drops.

Some people, like myself, are willing to take slightly less profits if it means getting stuff off the AH sooner. I only have one character, and quite frankly, those 7 AH slots are not nearly as much as I would like.

Quote:
If you want to undercut do it in your bazzar.

What difference is that going to make, really?

I think you've missed the boat here regardless. People undercut because they want to get rid of their stuff fast. Using a bazaar defeats the purpose in most cases.

Undercutting when there is a big demand is fine. It's when people undercut me when there isn't is what I don't understand...

If there is no or little demand, then just about any supply makes the supply > demand ~> therefor price drop.

I worded that poorly. Meant when there's a big supply I don't mind being undercut. It's when there isn't a big supply and the demand isn't horrible, those are the situations I don't understand/like being undercut.

And trust me, it happens.

Erk. Sorry, a more recent post from the server forums linked to this thread, and I should have made the post on that thread instead of this one.

My mistake.

Do not necropost again people. 2 years is dead. thanks.
#475Fynlar, Posted: Apr 03 2008 at 1:44 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Errr, whoops >_> Went to this thread from my posting history and didn't see this.
#476REDACTED, Posted: Apr 03 2008 at 2:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Then there is the player with the crappy gear who won't do the bare minimum to get decent gear. Doesn't have to be the best stuff in the game. For instance, had a dunes party.. something like lev 15. Ninja didn't have Utsusemi: Ichi. We questioned on it and he started cursing us out saying he didn't have that kind of money to buy it.
