Rate down also. I found the OP to be much different than the many posts complaining about the down time. In the OP, the author showed a valid course of actions to deal with such inconveniences instead of ranting or complaining. At no time did s/he say s/he didn't like it, all that was expressed was facts and a decision to go do something else. If only you would take your own advice, I'm sure SE and the rest of the community won't miss you either.

Lololol. You know, with how much downtime, maintenance, and log in problems they've had lately.. i've cleaned my apartment spotless, finished all my homework for next week, and did all 6 hours of my required lab time for school for next week. XD

I realize maintenance is nessecery. but with all of it flooding i'm getting quite irritated. I mean i wasnt before but damn.. what's going on?

Yeah it sucks I dont hate SE about it I'm annoyed by it sure but if anything people just remember someone outside the system is causing this be it lil 13-18 year old hacker wanna be's who most likely got banned for using Mods or maybe a gil selling company who is using this as a way of leverage to leave them alone /shrug. Who knows.. Ima clean now then watch Cowboy Bebop Remix (surround sound hmmmmm yummy).
