[System Maintenance]
For those who don't know Wut da h*ll "DDoS" is,
DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service)is something like
mad guy(s) hate SE so much, then he inject tiny virus, trojan
into multiple(A lot) computers over internet,
after that when those program begin to work,
they send a large bunch of traffic into SE network,
so SE network now very busy with those *JUNK traffic.
In this situation, system is busy, so we cant login or use
any service at all.

[Maintenance Detail]
"The Backbone of Playonline Server equipment will be exchanged"
wow.. They got a problem with server equipment, which is NOT
related to DDoS as they explained in last week, since DDoS is about network problem, NOT server!!!
What do ya think?

[Payment System]
While SE made a robust online payment, so they can track and
charge every penny, SE even have "charge back" policy ..
With FULL 2 Days of Downtime in a month..
Can we Charge them back?

I can't still get log on .. just pissed of in front of notebook. Grrrr....

Anything better than "apologize system"?

when were these 2 full days of down time? i don't remember 2 full days we couldn't play, sure prolly been more than 2 days worth of maintence hours, but there hasn't actually been 2 24hr periods you couldn't play. also a lot of the current problems are being caused by ppl hammering the servers trying to sign on after maintence..

Sorry then, its not 2 Full days,
but I just can't play on my playtime, its like 2 play days,

Online game is business, you know what I mean,
business is money.

I work with many datacenter like 10 years.
with a good server and network infrastructure,(good budget)
they can do system maintenance with very low or no downtime,
(except fire, elec.power, earthquake, ...)
If they ever use something called "redundant".

Mr.AverageJoe:
"Sir, we got a problem, I have to shutdown all of your server due to my son pulled out a plug of one server."

AngryCustomer:
"You say what? single server down cause my whole business gone?"

Redundant systems are substantially more expensive, and not all systems can be redundant. Your core networking hardware, for example, cannot reasonably be made redundant without multiple hosting locations, which is very expensive and unreasonably complex. Even hosting large multiplayer virtual worlds on redudant servers isn't easy. Most of these problems appear to be networking-related.
