I have been asked by my LS (a group of about 30 people of all level ranges from 5 - 75) to come up with an activity that we can all do together regardless of level. The majority of the LS is from Windy but by no means all of them are.
I had started to think about doing low level quests together but have ruled that out because a lot of the higher level players will have already done them.
I have also had a think about setting up some kind of treasure hunt but am not sure how that could work...
Any ideas gratefully received! I need to come up with something by Friday morning 10am London, UK time!

well I am the head of my LS and this friday we are doing a hide an seek event.
I will go into anon mode, and switch my online status to invisible.
Then I will go hide somewhere in the zones around the main cities. I will only hide in the first or second zones, tharongi, N Gusta and Lathiene.
First person to finds me gets 20k and then he/she is it and we do it all over again.
Also once every two weeks we all get together in Selbina and discuss how everyone has been doing, there levels, any ideas for the LS and so on.
Rank missions are always fun, raiding Delkfutts with your LS is a blast

Lvl 1 job race to anywhere from anywhere is a popular. Usually from a city to Jeuno.
An idea I've been trying to plan is this: Everyone but one or two people stich to lvl 1 job, any equip is fine, any job is fine. The other people then train a bunch of aggro mobs on them and then warp/force dc/whatever. Last one alive wins.

Ecowarrior is repeatable, isn't it? And level 20 cap...
LS screenshot...always fun to see everyone all together in one area.
Everyone gets naked in lower jeuno and drinks venom potions.
make a parade in sandoria, or what my leader Asonitez did was have a Subligar Party where you had to wear a subligar. Asonitez is the best leader ive ever known, but he is also an awesome guy:) MachinaX for life^^

Tell everyone to get a fishing rod, and head for the Selbina or Mhaura ferry. =p The 75s can protect the lower levels from the Sea Horror. Hell, let the level 5s join in on killing the Sea Horror! How many level 5s can say they've killed a Sea Horror? Other than the Sea Horror, just go fish. =p
If people havent done them yet, you can organize a "Scroll Raid". Get everyone in the LS to go and get as many scrolls as possible. Once they have the scrolls, they can do whatever they please with it (keep or sell).
All LS garrisons are fun.
If you have people that occasionally fight, how bout a ballista to settle it? The rest of the LS can spectate.
Have a mardi-gras in one of the citys. People could give out some sort of necklace (Yag necklaces are easy to farm) and fire off fireworks.

Ballista is by far the best LS meeting you can do, i highly suggest everyone joins an uncapped one, even if their level 20, you WILL have a blast, i guarentee it.

get ur whole linkshell and search the nations for a gilseller or a gilbuyer(for example.. lvl 1 with +1 bronze armor ><) ok.. get everyone... and suround him.. count to 3.. the start /poke on him!!! lol do it nonstop.. its hecka funny when u get a ls with 20 or more and do that :P.. one time we were doing it to a mithra and she ran around shouting "RAPE!" but when they threaten to call a GM on u.. its best to leave :P

So it is safe to assume that people who are leveling their second, third, fourth, ect. job are going to have the worst armor possible?

The most fun thing my ls ever did was a race that might sound impossible but we actually did it and a few got to our goal.

No sneak/invis allowed
You can set HP at outposts under the race but starting HP in Jeuno
The funniest thing was when a gob cast banishga in sauromunge and 3-4 died at same time.
Sanctuary was a hell since we arrived there at night there was a lot of bats and skelies. But some of us made it to Ro'maeve. You'd think its impossible to pass that place but it isnt.
At first it was me and one other member there, we were running around at the starting area waiting for the weapons at the stairs to move, but they didnt so the other guy tried to just run for it. And the weapon didnt aggro so I did the same. But a bit in another weapon aggroed me and I had to run there again, without problem this time.
Now a 3rd person had got to ro'maeve and passed the first weapon but he got aggro from a weapon and tried to run for the zone so I followed him while he aggroed everything and died, so my path to the goal was free now :)
But the other guy got there first:P

Our LS meets every 8 RL days (Monday one week, Tuesday the next, Wednesday the following week etc. to give everyone a chance of turning up at least one time).
We also vary the meeting place between Bastok, San D'Oria and Windhurst to make access for the lower levels easier.
Once assembled we all roll a dice (/random) and whoever rolls the highest number gets to choose what they want to do. e.g. "I'd like help with Mission 2-3" or "Kazham Airship keys" or "AF2 please" or "Lets do the Advanced Teamwork quest in San D'Oria!". Everyone else there helps them out.
The only requests we don't do are for powerlevelling ("Can you help me get to level 20?") or farming type ones ("Can you help me get 12 stacks of Silver Beastcoins?"), as these are just plain boring for the rest of the members.

My LS has done the Suicide Pact in Jeuno a couple of times. This last Saturday, we re-enacted the Taru Taru Taru video. We were all named (Food)taru, and went around killing stuff. We also like to do parades around Windurst. Yay parades!
Hmm... We've also had "designated money-making time" where we were supposed to go hunt NMs, do BCNMs, etc. in order to make money to donate to the LS Bank.

Our Linkshell try to do as many things together as possible ranging from Linkshell Pictures, Garrisons, AF Hunting, Protocrystal battles... etc. etc.
The hardest thing about most of these events is the simple fact that most people (not all) have things to do in Real Life. Make sure people know there is an event coming up, and try to make it exciting and appeal to lower level members who might otherwise feel left out at times. Make good use of /lsmes and other forms of communication (like a board for example) to ensure the word gets out.
We recently did a <Hall of The Gods> Linkshell picture and everyone who came along is very happy with the results (which can be seen by following the link below).

In my old linkshell we had a {dance} {dance} {party} in Kazham during Sumerfest. We all gathered together with fireworks, bards and naked mithras (and Galkas, but let's not dwell on that!) and proceeded to create our own "dance" macros by combining the /em motions. Periodically we'd zone into the jungle and kill the gobs that had gathered at the gates.
After our dance party had finished some of us got on chocobos and had a race to Norg. The player who came last was presented with a rusty subligar.
Even though this was months ago it still makes me laugh just thinking about it. It's great that you're in a linkshell with an interest in doing fun events like this!

These are very good ideas. I'm going to run them by my LS leader and see what he thinks.
There are a lot of great ideas here... will have to see aobut geting my ls doing some stuff like this
My linkshell held the Level 1 Alliance of Doom event. Everyone meets in a starting city (we used Bastok), and changes to a level 1 job. You create an alliance (we had a full 18 people) and you go out and fight stuff. Everyone should set their homepoint as close to the gates as possible, since you will die repeatedly. You then head out and fight stuff, the tougher the better so you get uber-exp 
We have a great shot of 16 of us lying dead in South Gustaberg after a bomb self-destructed, only the Galka leading the alliance and a person who was AFK survived. By the end of the night a few of us had managed to get our jobs to level 7.

Fishing trips, Ride the ship from Selbina-Mhaura and just might see some pirates, or if have CoP ride around in Bibiki Bay.

Marco polo in kazham ( seeker takes off names others dress up in different armor to fit in, i had like 5 different sets ^^ pose as a lower lvl or a npc)
lvl1 race from Jeuno to dunes to Sandy
fishing trips (killing sea horror n' such)
And we always finish it off with a seriouse disscusion on how to improve the ls in the Nsandy watch tower (nearly all of us are sandorian)
