i've never seen any dynamis vids posted, so for anyone wondering what it's like, i managed to get a vid of one of the larger pulls we had. i think its a good representation of how chaotic things may get.
note: there are 60 ppl there, even tho only about 10 or so are visible - that fluctuates with the number of mobs on the screen.

That..... was awesome! Hah, I've never seen a Dynamis video before. I was watching it, thinking holy crap, thats alot of mobs. And sure enough, everyone is at like 3/4 health, and the alliance menu comes back up, and suddenly like 14 people were dead. Great video, (nice music too btw.) Rate up.

That was an amazing video and great music to boot. I was kinda curious to see what dynamis looked like and what kinda baddies are in there. I have just one question... Was that an average Dynamis run? As in, are they all that bloody? People dyin left and right and more mobs then you can shake a stick at?

Not all dynamis' are like that... that's like "Dynamis: Taking A Wrong Turn"
At most, you'll only see people dying at a Major link pull or Astral Flow (KEEP THOSE AVATARS ASLEEP!!!) and Ninja's (Woot for 2hrs).
But other than that things should run smoothly if you have enough BLM's... Remember, BLM's are the key to a good run ^^;

Click on the download and hit save. It will show you where you store downloads.

haha, yeah that was a larger than normal pull - if you look closely at the chat log you can see several ppl (including me) saying "holy crap" etc.
but dying is indeed a common thing, just usually not so many ppl at once

that looked awesome, but i got a qeustion, would a BST be of any use in a dynamis run? As thats the jobn i plan on getting to 75, and i didnt see any in the vid :'(.

yea, we had a BST there, he was using Courier Carrie i believe - not positive tho, since he wasnt in my alliance he wasnt visible very often

BST would be usefull for some of the boss pulls; but Do Not Keep your pet out!!!! sometimes they have a tendance to think on their own and start waking the slept mobs (Avatars/Scrops/Ooze) and you don't want that happening >.>

one question about the fighting though, i'm kind of a noob, but why did it look like some people were just standing around? i didn't see any melee hacking or slashing.
also, do you have a really big monitor or what? or changed the resolution? because my macro menu takes up the whole screen, and i saw yours was only like a quarter way across the top.

I know how ya feel, I was a scholor before but got rated down by a lot of the forum go-tards.

very nice, seen pictures of dynamis but never a vid. looked very confusing @_@ spells and chat flying every where.
the best part.. it was on my server! i see that taru dorkmage all the time in bastok, he is my hero. some crazy level crafter too i have seen some high level (i think) equipment signed by him around.

I have a BLM friend who is a few levels away from Dynamis, I should show him this video, if he thought getting stuck in Castle O while doing Rank 7 was hell, I can't wait to show him this and give him a heart attack...
the game loads characters on a priority basis. with 64 characters and all the beastmen, in dynamis you often can't see anyone not in your direct party or alliance. It's annoying that you cant see them, but they are there. It can cause real problems when the whole group gets wiped out all in one spot, sometimes the whitemages cant target dead people for raises because they arent loaded for rendering at that moment.

Yeah I've noticed in other dynamis vids some people just standing around like they are afk, lol but that wouldn't make sense, going afk in dynamis o.O?
This is a very good video. I like these types the most because they show all the aspects of the battle as it would be seen by the player. No splicing, no cherry picking of data. Just the fight as seen through the eyes of one participant. We also get to see a bit of the strategy taking place here. Sleeping all the mobs and casually picking them off one at a time. I would also like to point out that it appears the remainder of the alliance in this Dynamis are, the majority, mages (be they BLM/RDM/WHM). And they are taking on this mob of monsters rather well. Even having time to raise a few melees here and there (only to watch them fall again) to take on those that have broken sleep.
And, I agree, the music is good for the video. Daft Punk is an all time fave of mine, personally, and it really seems to fit the mood here. Too often, I see videos that use some rock song and it just doesn't fit. The video isn't supposed to showcase the song and too many out there are just a means of having pretty pictures accompany their song of choice.
I would like to see one of these types of vids for a Garrison battle.
