The Adventures of Bob the Chocobo - Wark!!Follow

#1 Jan 19 2005 at 4:15 PM Rating: Decent
So, anyways... the other day I was wandering La Thiene Plateau, in search of the stone monument for the crawler's nest map quest, when all of a sudden, a chocobo without anyone riding it wanders up to me.

I think to myself, "That's rather odd, didn't the elvaan domesticate all the chocobos thousands of years ago?"

As if reading my mind at this thought, the chocobo (I've decided to call him Bob) gives me the most soulful, saddest, puppy-dog eyed look and says, "Wark!!". Which, as any sane elvaan knows translates to: "Please tell my story"

So, it is up to you, friends, fans, and trolls of the main FFXI Alla forum to tell this poor, lost chocobo's story. Where did he come from? Where is he going?? Why doesn't he have a rider??? Just what in Bob's name does "Wark!!" really mean? Is Zanzibar really a sane elvaan? Maybe this chocobo sighting is caused by too many trips through the Dunes caused by this silly quest of his??

Stay tuned!! Only you can tell Bob's Story!

A shame you are the only one that seems to like Bob... Poor Bob... no love left for a lonely chocobo. Everyone hates him. Need proof? Look at the rating for this thread. Terrible. Just plain terrible.

My take on Bob's story
It all started as an innocent attempt to invis the rider of Bob and to confuse all the newbies of Valkurm Dunes....
....But then it went wrong.
Bob panicked when he could no longer see his master, and and then the scared choco promptly-*************
~::gasp::What happened next? The hell is I know, my creativity is already used up!
It's up to you! ::points::

ps. No elvaan is sane, 'cause.....I said so.

Sad to say I know the story behind this poor bird's misfortunes in life and its not for the faint of heart to say the least. A missing rider you say no this is not how this sory of disire, mistrust, betrayal and Taru eye gouging started out all those cold winter nights so long ago. Bob was destined for greatness but somehow missed his ship and became the slave of a evil,lazy Galka who had him dig holes in the hard ground of Bastok. After many hard years of this life Bob broke his beak and wasnt able to do this work anymore and was cast aside like a worthless rdm who doesnt know how to refresh anyone but him/herself. Knowing that his days were numbered as wild Chocobos are found and sent to the glue factory asap, so he ran and ran till he came to the town of Windy where he was adopted my a younge Taru and things began to look better for Bob. But all good things must come to an end and Bobs good Taru master was thrown in prison by the Star Syble for trying to help Windy and all of its peoples. Bob knew a little about politics and knew that he needed to get outa doge before he himself was branded a trader of the peoples with his former owner. So in a wild, crazy and paniced stricken night Bob set free the other birds in his stable to provide a distraciton then he made him break in the process having to fight past the front gate guards and pecking with much furry he took some Taru to the ground hard and proceded to use his many years of ground pecking to take their little eyes from their heads so they wouldnt be able to be 'eye'wittness later on. He had tried to convince the other birds he freed the night to band as a group but they just handed out linkpearls to Chochobosofthedamned and went their own ways. Bob then continued his travles meeting may a younge lady bird and even fathered some young but they were sold into slavery as many of his friends and family were before. Bob is now without purpose and is looking for the Glacier so he may come apoun the Shadowdragon and end his miserable existance once and for all. What does 'Wark!!' mean you ask? It only means one thing to this sad and broken Chocobo who has lost so much in his life time...Tele-Vazahl 1k plz.
