How about "I'm just plain good with my hands. (in bed) I am a Monk.

At least you don't have to go running around in a loincloth and wristbands, like Marc Singer in the movie.

Just gotta love that particular paragraph ^^

Impressive work, Saboruto... and thanks for putting this up.

#82REDACTED, Posted: Nov 19 2004 at 6:24 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Whm is useful for cure status, -ga boosts to the party and some other nice spells like erase. A rdm has more mp than a whm (with refresh and convert) and by that he can outcure a whm anytime.

Let's hope another one of Saboruto's good posts will actually improve the PT invite rate of what most people think of, as "lesser" jobs. I doubt it, but one can only hope, mmm?

I will eventually play all of the jobs, at least a bit, and I'm not looking forward to some of these jobs where I will spend more time LFG than I will actually getting invites....

Hopefully, with Saboruto, and some other people like him around here, that will eventually change in the future. Who knows? We can only hope, right?

Wow, you guys bumped THIS old post? I think I posted this like a month ago... but still, it's good to see that people are getting the message, that each job has something awesome to offer their party and nobody is "better" than anyone else based on what job they choose. Every job is unique, and even if several jobs fill the same role in the party (for instance WAR, SAM, DRG, DRK, MNK, RNG and BLM are all damage-dealers), each does it in a way unique to their class and each has something to offer that nobody else can accomplish.

Errrr.

-ga bursting? *Blink*

Not exactly the safest thing in the world to do.

Now, granted, if you _know_ there are no other mobs around, then Maybe.

But in many places, throwing a -ga anything is not going to help you much, and in some places, it will rain down death on your entire PT. It really sucks when you "thought" that White Lizard was far enough away, but yet, it wasn't. Whoops.

As far as WHM bursting, well. Sometimes it can be good, but sometimes it isn't.

Sometimes I do it, if they actually set up a Fusion skillchain, and if it doesn't interfere with my healing, but I try not too very often, especially not with -ga. I don't like casting -gas in general (except Curaga after battle) for this reason.

Actually he said "-ga boosts", not "-ga bursts". Still, -ga spells are always a bit stronger than their regular single-target counterparts, so if you're 100% sure there's nothing else in the area to hit, they burst quite well. With my BLM, I would burst with -ga whenever possible because I wasn't high enough to burst with the II series yet and -ga is the next best thing. You just have to be really careful and really aware of your surroundings. As a general rule, it's safest to just go with single-targets. ^^

On the other hand..

I feel like a really really bad drag queen. I get the whole "charming and alluring" thing, but that's going just a teensy bit overboard. I'm supposed to run around the forest stalking my prey in a codpiece, ballerina slippers, a purple cloak, a corsette, with a pretty ribbon tied in my hair and a garland of fresh flowers around my neck. So very butch.... >_<

Damn man. I never once thought my little taru with blond/red hair in a bun was feminine by any means. Kickin *** with Hauberk and the thick set while using a Juggernaut (hypathetical since I never got to 70 to use mine ; ;) doesnt seem feminine to me. Actually soloing most any monster in the game is quite a feat, and you should give us BST a little more credit :)

I agree now, BST wears some feminine gear at times, but CHR is the stat most of us concentrate on, so we must suffer the consequences I guess.

First and formost...great post and a very enjoyable read. You have always posted good things and I appreciate you taking the time to write something that many people can enjoy. Thanks ^^

I wish everyone on Midgardsormr thought of mnk's as you stated in your post :/. The hate for mnk's and the lies just will never end here. Someone must have started a bad rumor a long time ago and it stuck ><. I love the mnk job and will never leave it as a my main...but damn peoepl..see the light. Please? We destroy mobs ><...and fast...

Mnk <o**)o vs o(**o> Mobs...Raging Fist lands for 500!

Mnk <o**)-o(xxo> Mob...Nuff said...take your Disstortion and shove it.

Not to be rude to BLM's...mad <3...but when **** hits the fan and that add comes...I throw on Hundred fist, counterstance and whtever else I can. We don't even think about our loss of exp, win or lose, but knowing that no one else in party died is worth it. You protect me through fights...I protect my party when **** hits the fan.

Wow, loved the post. However, being a monk myself, this is how I would have described it...

"I walk the path of the silent warrior. I fight with a style developed through conflict, and refined over centuries of war. What others accomplish with weapons, I achieve with my fists. In my mind there is peace, but within my body lies a fury that, if unleashed, will destroy even the greatest of my adversaries. I am a monk."

Great post though...keep up the good work^^

Actually you can, if you are talking about it being at 5.00 already. It still ups his base karma. Unless you mean you can't cuz you already rated.
