Why MY job is the best in the game.Follow

Yeah, those are some of the choice CHR pieces throughout the game. Tasteful, and functional. You're equally at home out in the thickest marsh or the darkest woods, or at Big Gay Al's Big Gay Animal Sanctuary. ;_;

Well, it was the most accurate description I could come up with. Every teenage boy I know sees the wicked-looking DRK AF, sees the names of some of their abilities (Shadow of Death, Soul Eater, Guillotine, Last Resort), sees the scythe and the black magic and the kind of numbers a DRK can put out, and instantly goes all (|excitement|) in the (|subligar|). You have to admit, DRK is as badass as they come. If I were 14 again you can bet good money I'd probably be a DRK too*. So, rather than go all corny with the "awe-inspiring might and taste for blood and vengeance blahblahblah", I decided to be blunt. DRKs in this game are what we all wished we were as teenagers. :D

(* By no means am I saying that all, most, or even many DRKs are teenagers. Nor am I saying that pubescent boys always pick DRK. Most of the DRKs I know play with the most incredible finesse, and many of the teenagers I know are some of the most mature people I've met. So that wasn't a bash to anyone. ^_^)

Love the post, wonderful job as always Sabo. Although it reminds me more of the I. AM. Canadian commercials more then the Monster.com ads.

12) You other tanks actually get HIT?? Pfft. Amateurs. Why get hit when you can just dodge everything thrown at you? AND look good doing it? With me around, healers have time to go cook dinner and maybe catch a movie. You won't see me coming, you won't feel my blade. I am a ninja.

Very cool to read, /clap /clap /kneel

Another FINE post by you mam' (i believe it's mam, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong ^^;)
Was most interesting to read, and i "realized" a few days i was a bit "ooh, look, i do three times as much damage as my allies in one shot" - kind of ranger on the dunes, and it ashames me a bit.
On the bright side, i want to get leaping boots etc. to become even MORE powerfull, and my reason for that is good, so the party will get faster exp, instead of "ooh, i want to be ubar rng!"

So either way, good post, i'll be sure to remember this so i won't end up like those arrogant high level people.

14) I'm as good as any two party members, because I carry portable members with me at all times. I can skillchain like a samurai, magic burst like a dark knight, and heal like a white mage. I combine the best traits of several classes. And nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, can outdamage me when I unleash my two-hour ability. I am the door between the world of the corporeal and the world of the astral. I am a summoner.

YA! :-)

Excellent post
Really shows that everyone truly is equal in their own right, and just like mother nature and our natural world, everything has it's own "niche" to fill in the game.
GREAT post!

4) My job is one of the most powerful and essential of any class. I make the enemy suffer, while making the melees attack faster and the mages have more MP to cast with. I support the party in ways other classes can only dream of. I'm the jack-of-all-trades, master of many. I am a red mage.

Shouldnt that be "Master of none"? :D

Oh and about the beast gear..
Why not put on a Bird whistle rather than the Flower Necklace?
As far as I can tell its the same but with 5 more Hp..
Unless the Flower Necklace has a hidden effect? :)
Very Feminine gear XD
Heh just think if you could equip the Ceremonial set (F only) That gives Chr+ as well :p

Hats off to you, dood. Very good. The worst people are the ones that say "I am XXX. Therefore, I am more necessary then the rest of the group" like a WHM that thought he was more important then the OTHER 4 people in my group that stayed long enough to get my level. I will try and refer people to this thread when they think like that. Truly, it is awesomeness, in a can.

Wow, I really liked that. I said it a few times in a dramatic gravelly voice, the second part starting from "i go places.." works especially well like that because it's more in the reality of vandiel and doesn't acknowledge the game stuff (invites).

Good job.

Wow~! That was a really excellent post, I totally agree with it. It's sad to see people comparing the worth of other jobs, but you really complimented each class's strengths and gave them all a really great tribute. ^^v awesome!

10) You have never seen damage the likes of what I can do. I build fast TP and my attacks are deadly. I'm an extremely good puller and can close some VERY powerful skillchains. The best answer to life's little problems is to throw me at them. I am a ranger.

If I may nitpick this excellent post :) Rangers OPEN very powerful skillchains! Ranger + Thief skillchains is all the melee damage dealing your party will ever need later on!

But that's only because I'm a thief, and very bias ;)

Good post however, I'll keep rating you up even though it's already 5.00 (I hear it still helps your overall rating).

VERY well put Sabo, as usual. I'm a PLD and I loved the way you described the job. I usually describe it as "I get hit gud", but I like your way too lol. I wish more people saw it this way, because there is no worthless job. They all go into funks at some point from level 1-75, but for the most part you are cheating yourself and your party if you have to narrow of a view and don't consider what each job can bring to your group. Cheers mate! Great Post!
