Back on topic ^_^

I'm actually friends with the artist from reallifecomics.com

His name is Greg Dean and he plays on the Phoenix Server. He created a linkshell based on one of the characters from his comic, the Shirtninjas, of which I am proud to be a member. Greg is honestly the nicest guy you'll ever meet and he feels very strongly about the whole IGE situation. I suggest you all check out the comic and the rant at the bottom.

Also, if you check the archives, there are a few more FFXI comics in there. ;)

Enjoy.

I think we're all seeing an avatar with some guy's head blowing up. Nothing about STFU Noob that I can see.

Its a shame that the ways honest people want to make gil are over run with NM "bots" and Coffer "bots". All the FFXI community can do is report what they find and try to limit botting however you can. And the comics from Real Life haev always been a daily check for me.

I've been reading Greg's comic for about 2-3 years now. He really does have some quality stuff in him. I'm sure he'd be a lot of fun to play in-game with as well. The archives span back years with a tons of comics that are definitely worth reading. And yes, the rant is highly worth reading as well.

I read a few of those "real life comics" comics and noticed a disturbing trend in a few that makes it impossible for me to respect the author. When someone does something that seems despicable and downright naughty it can be hard to have anything but at least a mild contempt for that person.

I'm not sure how many people can truely stand this person's acceptance of pepsi over the superior coca-cola and thus I shall hold my contempt like a over used oven mitt that is very clean and comfy to use.

Greg's love of Pepsi is kind of funny really. It became such a large theme of the comic that during a guest artist week, every comic was about Pepsi.

Honestly, I think he would inject it straight into his veins if he could.

Darnimsexy: Sorry we missed your earlier post on the exact same comic.

/comfort

I'll give you a pity rate-up. Turn that :( upside down --> :)

Taodyn: What's Greg Dean’s character name in-game?

Pepsi > Coca-Cola

Karg: Thank you for changing your avatar back to scared kitty. Exploding head = bleah.

Edit: Capitalization error.

Anyone who reads Reallifecomics should know Greg's character's name. It's Sagus and he has been featured several times.

I feel the need to point out one small thing: I realize many RL fans want to join the Shirtninjas LS. I did, too (it's the reason I chose Phoenix out of all the servers). Sadly, the sackholders have so many people requesting to join that they have stopped allowing new members. For a long time we had a waiting list of people, but it got too hard to keep track of.

I apologize if you wanted to join the LS. I am not a sackholder, but this is a topic that comes up in our forums. I just thought I'd mention it so that noone gets their hopes up. Feel free to give Sagus a shout in game and tell him how you like his comic (and maybe a pat on the back for this IGE rant).

I'm not a Reallifecomics reader, so I had no idea Greg's character's name. I am a fellow cartoonist, however, and just wanted to compare notes.

I also have no wish to join another linkshell; I am founder of my own and quite happy with it. But thanks for the info anyway!

That kitty avatar looks like its on some kind of LSD trip or something. Also again I must say if you prefer some other drink over coca-cola you are evil incarnate and must set yourself on fire so as to not taint others with your evil.

Heya Shauk. Didn't know you posted here, but I'd recognize that avatar anywhere.

My posts here are few and far between. I try to avoid posting unless I can offer something constructive.

Basically, I post answers in the DRG forum and answer as many Garrison related questions as I can.

btw, Greg thought it was very cool that you guys were backing him up. I put a link to this thread in our forums.
