Oh good, so it doesn't trade off status ailments it has at the same time? Because I always thought it did... Good to know if that's the case!

Actually Seethers have a special that gives you their status ailments called Wanion.

I have noticed a lot of people are taking interest in these new NM drops from the Promyvion areas. I too have taken an interest ever since my party was aggroed by the Satiator and I managed to get the drop. I am on the Odin server and if there is anyone else who would like to I would love to go and try to collect all three drops. If you are interested please /tell Nicodeamus, I am a 49 BLM/26 RDM. I hope to have RDM up to 30 soon that way I am a little more flexible in my jobs for the promyvion areas. I have thought about it and the most logical thing for me to think of as far as where these might be used is in the new area it opens, mainly because there are three seperate NMs and in order to get to Tazania(sp?) you need to beat all three Spires bosses.... This is just speculation but please let me know if you would like to help me on my quest to get all these and use them properly :).

Other notes on Promyvions. My LS has been working on finishing all three, I myself have had mismatched luck. We beat Mea on our first try(that I was involved in), had about 6 animas if I remember correctly. Note for those curious I had great success with Drain, I managed to drain about 65 HP from it(this was also the killing blow).

I did Dem with a seperate group, we died our first time but it was because our WHM was not allowed to enter the Spire, not sure why it happened but we were being chased by a number of enemies, if anyone else has had this happen please send a bug report, my group did. Our second try we managed to make it through easy enough(this was when I got the NM drop, we had a backup healer in alliance just in case our WHM was not allowed in again). another note the NM while hard is not really that bad, my party actually got aggroed right after the NM fight and managed to have enough people alive to raise and move on(I wan tto say we had 4/7 live through that part)

Holl ahas been the bain of my LS's existence though, we have only tried once but it became a disaster due to the AoE sleep affect. One thing I will say is bring Poison potions, they don;t harm you enough to matter and the keep you awake which is very important. The trianary attack is probably the worst part of this boss because like Jet Streams from bats it will kill most shadows and does insane damage.

Another thing in reference to all the Promyvions I have heard that the animas stack so I thought about it, if you have ever member bring at least two you could keep the boss from doing any major attacks the whole battle, just setup like a ten second delay in usage, maybe 15 seconds.

Sorry if this info is mostly double posted I tried reading through the whole Post but it is really long...

Well I don't know if it was posted b4 or what not, just skimmed the entire thread. Here's some observations I've seen on recollection drops.

They are most prevailent in each Promyvion (based on 1st floor farming ranging from 2-6 ppl)

Mea:
Fear is commonly dropped by Weepers
Guilt is commonly dropped by Wanderers

Dem:
Guilt is commonly dropped by Weepers
Pain is commonly dropped by Wanderers

Holla:
Pain is commonly dropped by Weepers
Fear is commonly dropped by Wanderers

I assume seethers would drop the 3rd type of anima for each promyvion, however I tend to avoid them for they tend to hurt, as well only appear on the 2nd floor and higher. Harder the mob, the better the chance of a drop.
On the most part they seem to follow this recollection drop patturn, sometimes it deviates some, but I've stuck to it and it seems to work.

Actually, for what it's worth, I've only seen 2 types of Remnants drop from any given crag. While it's suspected that you could find the third type off the crag-specific, I've fought a hell of a lot of crag-specific beasties while accumulating attack data for them ... and haven't ever seen a third Remnant type fall (Fear in Dem, for example). I'm not convinced that all three types fall in all three crags.

Not that it matters. Go to Dem and farm Pain -- Hysteroanima rules the boss fights. ^^

-x-

I still don't have a clue what the NM Remnants are for. I have 2 out of 3.

We have had all recollections drop in each promyvion, Also try and fight mobs who are weak to the element of the day you are fighting, in general mobs drop more often on thier weak days, this has always worked for me on coffer/chest keys and any other drops I am working on.
Tonight we are going to holla ill take my remnant of a coveter and try and trade to the apparatus. I really want to know what these do since the coveter wiped our party 2xs well I lived through the 2nd time but I was the only one. heh

Just wanted to add one more thing: if you look on the radar when you kill a "real" MR, you will see a green dot that signifies an NPC. This is the portal. Just a slight tip. ^^

EDIT: Trying Promyvion-Dem tonight, hope all goes well. >_>

A theory, btw, on the NM recollections, and the new ones that Harith mentions:
Used for promyvion - vazhl, perhaps? Its been mentioned on this thread that beating all 3 bosses, then beating again (say, to help someone) lets you go back to top floor when you want. The only reason I could see for this is to hunt the NM's for their special recollection.

Since there's no use for them in the basic promy's, and the ones mentioned by harith aren't findable in the basics either, that leaves Vazhl, with all 3 bosses at once. Maybe they've got different effects, like make one of the inactive NM's charmed, to fight the active one? (wild, wild guess on my part for that effect, but who knows?)

For those a bit confused as to what a previous poster said:
you cannot go straight up to the top of the promy after beating the BCNM twice. He MEANT that you could stay behind to help groups that aren't filled with people, by not taking the port, but once you leave, you need to climb again.

Here's something I've been pondering for a while and I guess this is the place to ask.

I saw where somewhere in the thread, someone asked about mobs on the top floor. Would it be possible to defeat one with a regular party of six? All the promyvion runs I've attempted have been in alliances but I'm considering doing one with a party of six.

Anyways, just curious as to whether a normal party can handle mobs on the top floor if one was to get into trouble.

Does anyone know if Invisible works to avoid aggro from the mobs? Granted, it isn't that hard to avoid aggro altogether in there if you are patient enough. My LS did Mea last night and I think we had 4 total battles other than the MR's on our way up. We just stuck to the edges and found open areas to camp until mobs would walk away and clear a path.

BTW, Nin subs rock for this. Really saves a lot of stress in the curing department. My party was WAR/NIN, NIN/WAR, RNG/NIN, RNG/NIN, BLM/WHM, WHM/SMN. Had one anima and two of us 2-houred. I bene'd near the end because of some nasty boss AoE spamming, and a RNG 2-Houred and finished it off leaving me with 14 HP.

All the empty are true sight I think, but small aggro range like you said. Not too tough to avoid aggro, just need to wait for them to move

Btw, Wingchild, awesome guide, helped me a lot in getting to tavnazia.

On fourth floor fighting:

A party of six can handle every enemy in Promyvion, from the lowliest Wanderer to a fourth-floor Seether (or Thinker or Craver/etc). I actually fought two of the three NMs successfully in a six-person team, back when I was writing the guide.

While fighting with a team of six can be done, it may not be altogether practical. You won't steamroll enemies. You won't leave waste and destruction everywhere you go. You will have to be very careful about taking aggro from a second enemy while you're engaged - that may well spell doom for your team.

1st floor: no problem

2nd floor: probably good unless you get 3 or more adds

3rd floor: hard fights; there is nothing easy here. A two-way fight (single add) is survivable if your team really knows it's stuff. This is the floor where you really want to stop ******** around and drawing hate.

3rd floor NM: Yup, a single team of six can do it -- we shattered the Cerebrator (Holla/Thinker) that way, as well as the NM from Dem (the craver-type, whatever his name is). These fights weren't easy - they were a lot like a boss fight without animas. (And, thankfully, without the extra skill or two each boss gets.) Be prepared with Reraiser potions/scrolls of Reraise if you start taking NMs with a single team.

4th floor: While you can still win fights, expect to rest after nearly every battle. These are going to take a lot out of you. One add may be one too many (though I think my team of six has successfully handled one add before). Two adds is suicide - there will simply be too much damage coming down, not enough hate control, and nothing you can do about it.
