Since Gil is perhaps one of the most sought after posessions in the game, I figured a mini-farming guide may help those who have no other income source thus far. Hopefully this will temporarily decrease the, "Moniez plz~!1" threads.
Levels 1-20
This is the range where most new players will struggle with gil. Please don't beg for gil, other players (hopefully) worked hard for theirs.
Sarutabaruta

- Crawlers (Silk threads/Calculi)
- Goblins (Beastcoins/Threads/Cloths/Onions)
- Magicked Bones (Bonechips/Ceremonial Dagger)
- Yagudo (Beastcoins/Necklaces)
Ronfaure
- Goblins (Beastcoins/Threads/Cloths/Onions)
- worms (various Ores)
- Beetles (Beetle Jaw/Beetle Shell)

Zeruhn Mines
- Leech (Fiend's Blood)

______
More difficult areas, don't tread too far into these:
Horutoto Ruins
- Bats (Bat wings/Bat fangs)
- Goblins (Beastcoins/Threads/Cloths/Onions)
- Magicked Bones (Bonechips/Ceremonial Daggers)
- Ballons (Bomb Ash)
King Ranperre's Tomb
- Bats (Bat wings/bat fangs)
- Goblins (Beastcoins/Threads/Cloths/Onions)
- Worms (various Ores)
Dangruf Wadi
- Stickpin (Beastman's Blood)
- Goblins (Beastcoins/Threads/Cloths/Onions)
- Worms (Various Ores)
I suggest to keep to these areas until about 20-25. I've seen far to many people die in places like Giddeus because they thought they could train scores of Yagudo before level 25.
Level 25+
It's safe to start in these areas at 25, however, steer clear of the tier3 mobs in the keyrooms. At 25 they're dangerous, and if they link you're toast. Besides, they're pretty much useless for farming unless you have the steal ability to get Silver Beastcoins.
Giddeus
- Yagudo (Beastcoins/Silver Beastcoins)
- Worms (various Ore)
- Bees (Beehive Chips/Honey/Giant Stinger)
Ghelsba Outpost
- Bats (Bat wing/Bat fang/Beastmen's Blood)
- Pugils (Shall Shell)
- Lizards (skin/tail)
- Orcs (Beastcoins/Silver Beastcoins)
Palborough Mines
- Quadav (Beastcoins/Silver Beastcoins)
- Mine Scorpian (Claw/Shell)
- Beetle (Shell/Jaw)
These areas remain popular at nearly any level. Once you're high enough level you can stick around and go NM hunting if you get tired of farming.
Farming Suggestions:
- Thief sub:
Treasure Hunter will increase the amount of drops you get and the Steal ability will allow to grab even better items.
- Farm in groups:
Farm with one or two other people who have Treasure Hunter. Spread out and you'll cover more ground faster.
- Try out new skills:
In many farming areas you can also mine, fish, or harvest. It's a good time to build up those skills.
- Farm while gaining experience:
Always remember Signet! Nearly everything drops crystals.
- Make sure you have free inventory space:
There's no point to farming if you show up with five spots empty. Clean out your inventory of everything except necessities, it'll save you some trips.
- Farm stackable items:
You can carry more of them and stacks tend to sell better. So drop that Pair of Cuffs and pick up some more Bat Wings or Beehive Chips.
- Mules:
Those naked level ones you see around town all the time. If you have one for each city you'll have increased storage and access to each AH. You can sell 21 things at a time other then 7.
- Be nice!
There are a lot of other farmers out there, so share the wealth. Training a whole area where there are other farmers is rude. Try not to farm mobs that someone else may be trying to gain experience off of.
Remember: farming takes patience. People will farm for a week straight or more, but in the end it pays off.
Anything to add? Please do.
