Oh no, now all of the really cool leet players can't spam pentathrust left and right...BFD. Now you will actually have to *gasp* function in a party. Instead of spamming that WS, things might actaully *gasp* be a challange.

Deal with it, every melee class is feeling this in the exact same way. If you get invited less it's because you were using the Pentathrust exploit or whatever it was as a crutch, and have no idea how to really play your job. You can still do plenty in a PT.

overpowered now? we were underpowered from before lol, get into high levels with drgs and see how extremly hard it is to get party, alot of JPS even think of drg as the weakest job.

AOE royally ***** the Wyvern, I'm glad I can heal it now, and guess what! I never had the Penta-Thrust ability. So lets see... my DRG just got a helluva lot better! Muahahah! And dismiss is actually a sane thought now lol.

Nine times out of ten, I am involved in a skillchain that does not involve Penta Thrust. If I have the TP for it and no one else is near ready for a skillchain, that is when I will use it.

I should also point out that there are three other weaponskills that are post-Penta, so it is not as though it is the end of the world for Dragoons. Vorpal Thrust is at Lvl. 55 -- which is no more than 6 levels after Penta Thrust -- for example.

If you only spammed Penta when in a party because that is all you think being a Dragoon is about, then you make me feel embarassed as a die-hard Dragoon player.

If you get invited to a party that expected you to spam Penta Thrust in the first place, well ... then think about if that party was actually a good or bad one, if they're not trying to make you work with skillchains.

My only complaint about Dragoons is the fact we have no Job Traits post-level 30 ... but that's another topic for another thread.

Yes, this hurt many melee classes, but this has nerfed the Dragoon to a much higher degree. Not because all we know how to do is penta thrust spam, and not because we dont do damage without penta or something, but penta thrust the way it was had very good synergy with the other abilities of a dragoon. The great thing about the old penta was that you could do penta thrust > jump > high jump> 1 more hit to 100%tp > penta thrust > super jump to rid hate.
THis synergy is gone now. And as someone pointed out, many melee classes had these multi-hit WSs that we can spam nonstop, except for the need to control hate, but only DRG has super jump to get rid of hate. Now that we cant do penta thrust nearly as often., the importance and usefullness of super jump has just dropped to almost nothing. In essence, this multi-hit WS adjustment made one of our best job abilities pracitcally useless.
