OK I finaly bought Final Fantasy XI after a month of begging my mom to ****** drive me to gamestop >___<.

OK I installed it, purshased it, and everything. ALL I need to do it play, and make a character. Well this is where it all goes bad. I click play, ok an error pops up. Says Something like Check your computer to see if it can run FFXI, and says it can't detect TNL.

Well... I might be able to fix this, IF!!!! I knew the the hell TNL was!! If anyone can help me with this Porblem I would be SOOOOOOO greatful! So, what is TNL?

Texture and Lighting

Video Card related. Maybe your video card sucks, or maybe you need new drivers.

Did you run the Bench?

I upgraded my Video drivers.

look around playonline.com and you'll see a downloadable benchmark. When the company makes a benchmark for a game I always try to run it before I buy the game...

OK thanks. I'll try doing this, and see if it helps.

At the very least it may tell you if your vid card is too weak to handle it.

A little further note.

TnL refers to hardware Texture and Lighting. This is a feature of a videocard. Depending on how old your vidcard is, it may not support it. I know a lot of people that had to replace cards when they got this game.
