Some of the Ancient magics sell for 300-500k on Fairy server. I'm not really looking forward to my lvl 60 spell upgrades.... better start saving money now!

Hmmm...I've seen Bard songs (I guess you can call them spells) for 999,999,999 gil. I still don't know why so many people do that it is just plain out ridiculous.

Raise III: 400,000
Erase: 400,000
Absorb-Dex: 300,000
Dark Spirit pact: 300,000

And of course the ever popular Drain going at 15,000 for level 12 black mages.. :)

Also another thing that confuses me (although it would probally make perfect sense once I research it). Why is Cure IV 27,000 and Cure V only 4,000? Is there any use for Cure V? I know only WHM can use it, but the price diffrence boggles my mind.

Cure V is probably a more common mob drop or something. As for the 1 billion gil spells, was this in a bazaar? Because that is commonly done as a sign they are willing to accept offers for it. They don't intend for anyone to actually buy for 1 billion gil (if some one does thou, all the better, heh)

Is this also why some people buy/sell highly pricey items at the AH from themselves for 1G, just as an advertisement that they have said item and are willling to take offers?

White Mage spells put ya in the poor house. Some are rediculously overpriced.

I just hit 25 as a WHM... I seriously am spending the entire night trying to make enough money to buy Raise.

I'm at 5k... just another 2k to go!

999,999,999 means they wish to negotiate the price

in all honesty, drain really deserves to be 2k max. i mean hell, theres a quest in san that gives you the drain scroll in exchange for beastmens blood, 1.5k max at the AH. why people are making 10k profit for a 1.5k quest is beyond me really.

In Selbina (at least on Asura), Raise IS only like 5k. I think I got it for like 5,038. :)

Hope that helps. ^^

Is that Auction House price? Did you check Selbina? There's a scroll seller there that I bought Raise from a while ago. I thought it was just under 5k when I bought it, but I could be wrong.

Phalanx is 200k (crazy for a level 33 spell)
#16 Jan 29 2004 at 10:09 AM Rating: Decent
Raise3 = 2.5mil for a long time, down to like 1mil now
Erase = 300k
Phalanx ~200k
Flare ~150k

Honestly, I have a good jpn friend that is a 71whm, and he said not to bother with erase unless you can get it from the bcnm fight. It's one of those things that you can certainly live without, and while it is a convenience once you have it, it's by no means necessary. As he pointed out, think of all the other things you could do with that cash in the meantime that will have amuch greater impact; don't blow it on a spell with minimal utility (at best). And, btw, haste DOES overwrite slow, which is really the only nasty debuff you have to worry about until later on anyway.
