Party TroublesFollow

Hi again everyone!

I have managed to form a small party of three to get together regularly to play. Unfortunately my 2 partners in crime are new to the game so I am trying to teach them their jobs based on their class. I have myself (a WM), a warrior and a BM.
Now I know what I need to do, and I know what to teach the warrior (healing, and pulling myself is getting tedious); but what is the role of a black mage in such a small party? He keeps casting his offensive spells but it immediately gets the mob after him, and I cant keep up enough to get it away in time. Do I simply need another warrior to be effective in this combo?
Note: We are all at or below level 10 currently.

I myself have not played blm yet, but the general consensus seems to be that in this situation your blm friend should try and do two things:

1) wait until the warrior has built up some hate.
2) cast more sparingly so as to draw less attention, and/or time spells differently. For example, cast once the warrior gets provoke back, so that if he does draw aggro, the warrior can instantly pull the mob back. A macro for the warrior would help with this, if he/she does not already have one like it:

/ja "Provoke" <t>
/wait 15
/party Provoke Ready in 15s <call2>
/wait 15
/party --- Provoke Ready --- <call3>

(or whatever calls you want to use). I think timing will be the most useful thing for your blm to learn. Perhaps an experienced black mage could give some more tips?

** this post also serves as a bump ** :)

i havent played blm, but its good to not nuke until mob is down something like 80%, then the war should have a good amount of hate, and blm can lay in a few nukes periodally. Although if he has the burn/choke debuff spells, i think it would be best used in the beginning.
