Town LagFollow

I got a problem, I getting some serious lag when i'm in Bastok, but not when I'm outside killing stuff. The thing is my brother plays too (we have network on cable) and he doesn't lag in town even when we're playing at the same time, but i'm lagging like a *****. Anyone kno if its because i have less RAM then him, or because the Router is connected to his computer, or what?

the router doesn't play much in the equation... it would hurt both of you equally. HOWEVER, the lack of ram could be an issue, or a lower grade video card, or perhaps a slower cpu may be the culprit. It could even be as simple a matter as background programs and free memory. No telling, but it is NOT a ffxi issue... more than likely its the difference in physical spec's between the two pc's.
