Does anyone know of a website that can translate English to romaji and vice-versa? I have 2 computers on the same desk so this would be very helpful for team communication in a JP/NA team, but couldn't find on on google :p thx ^^

Sorry, I can't help by offering a link for a site like that, but I do think you would be better off just getting a cheap pocket dictionary and looking stuff up on the fly. Translating sentences by computer rarely if ever works well between Japanese and English due to a lot of things, but particularly due to the difference in degrees of abstractness--English is a whole lot more concrete than Japanese.

Anyway, such a site would be fantastic for simple words, but you shouldn't realistically expect to be able to translate whole sentences well. It might work once in a while, but, for the most part, it'll just come out garbled.

Plus, if you get a decent dictionary, it'll provide example sentences so you'll know exactly what context you can use that word in. A lot of meanings can be tricky if you don't have any examples to work with.

Good luck! ^.^

Yup, either get a very good site that gives examples of sentences that the words can be used in or a pocket-translation booklet (travel-pocket??)

You don't want to find yourself complementing the neat mittens the player is wearing on his ears while in fact you thank him/her for helping you out with a quest ^^

I apologize ahead of time for the digression, but . . .

Have you ever tried the "translate to Language X, then translate back into English" trick? Hours and hours of fun. Well . . . if you're simple-minded like me, anyway. ~.^

Haven't done that one, but I have used sites that translate other sites to english. Can't even explain how funny some of the wording on *** sites is when they are translated. I remember something about a 4x4 translated to "Muddy foot vehicle".
