What are some good enemies a full party of 6 that are levels 14-15 take in the Valkurm dunes? IT Damselflies and sheep were too hard. And the goblins don't give enough XP.. any suggestions?

Snippies are your best bet. Also, its a matter of WHO you party with, rather than what you fight. Try to stay in parties where people are the same level or one level apart. If you are 14 and party with 14s-15s, then you'll be fine. Throw in a 16 and the XP will begin to hurt. Toss in a 17 and it ain't worth it.

People seem to forget that experience chains exist.

You can take out IT enemies that are worth 150-200 XP per kill, but then you'll probably have to rest after each battle. Overall, the XP will often be lower than if you just fought easier enemies.

If you can't find any enemies that are easy enough and give good XP, find enemies that are very easy, but still check as "Tough" to your group. Fight as many of these in a row as you can. Make sure your BLM and WHM aren't over-doinging it. These enemies should be easy enough for the melee fighters to take out pretty much on their own, with just a handful of cures, and a couple good spells from the BLM. In Valkurm, the Snippers and easier Goblins are usually good for this (Just watch out for Goblin bombs)

Do 3 or 4 of these to build up your TP and start an XP chain going. While the first enemy may only give 50 XP, by the time you're on the 3rd or 4th, you'll be getting around 100 XP for the same creature.

Once everyone has TP, let the mages rest for a little bit to recover some MP, but not too long. Then pull an IT Damselfly. Once you've got a few good hits in, unlease your skillchain and have the BLM do a magic burst. That IT enemy will fall in no time, and you'll get a ton of XP due to the chain.

When the battle is over, let everyone rest up, and start the process again.

This technique works very well in any area. Ideally, you'd like to chain the toughest enemies that you can. In good high level parties you should be able to just chain a bunch of IT enemies. But if you can't chain the toughest ones, chaining the weak ones and finishing off with a tough one usually gives you very good XP with less downtime overall than trying to beat only the toughest enemies at a slower pace.

People always seem to think that 50 XP per battle isn't worth it. I say, 50 XP instead of resting and getting 0 XP is always worth it.
