Defense and Attack Formulas?Follow

Has anyone come across the formulas from which Attack and Defense (shown in your equipment screen, just above resists) are calculated? I've gotten the normal stat formulas but they lack any indication of how these two are generated.

I'm assuming Attack is somehow calc'd off your weapon skill, level, race, class, strength, and gear additions. I'm also assuming Defense is calc'd from evasion, level, race, class, vitality, and gear additions. Either way, I don't have something that can spit out a number when fed gear + stats. :)

Any tips?
