Hey I saw your post about making gil with the plants in your mog house. Can you explain that, or anyone else explain it? That is the one thing in the game I haven't tried yet. How do you do the gardening thing?

Tree cutlings, tree saplings and cactus stems grow you great stuff. Use any pot except porcelain and your rockin (for some reason porcelain grows terrible, worthless stuff with these.) Feed them light or dark crystals.
Be warned though they can take a week of real time to grow, more or less.

I've heard Brass pot + Veggei seeds + water crystal usually yeilds fire crystals. Personally I don't really believe this true unless its harvested on Firesday, but I'm going to check it out today!
I got 28 earth crystals off one harvest, don't remember the recipe, but I could deffinantly see someone making really good money from gardening, if those were fire/wind or epp, light/dark crystals I could have made some pretty money. As it is earth crystals aren't worth spit.
Boy did it aggrivate me when I had two safe slots open and my mog still wouldn't harvest, I didn't realize he would need THREE!

guys im takling about things that sell for 40k + for a stack of 12.
i have grown 15+ of these items on those 3 types of plants i have mentions. crystals are chump change

Emmm...stupid question but how do I feed the things crystals? lol All I can do is examine which says I have seeds planted. I assume it must take a little time before you can feed it a crystal??

P.S. Where can you get those items? (tree sapling, cactus stem, etc) I checked all 3 cities on my server and managaed to find only 3 Tree Cutlings. Is tehre a place where they drop or you can get them? Thanks :)
It does just take time.
Depending on the pot and seed type, it can take a bit of time before the option to 'Feed Crystal' appears.
Sometimes it does take more than one crystal. I had Fruit Seeds that required two crystals once. I'm still experimenting to see if that's a regular thing.

All 3 plant types can be bought at the AH for 3000g - 4000g.
You can get Tree Cutlings off of the big walking plant guys that look like a house, Goobbue's. You can find these guys in Rollenberry Fields and Pashow Marshlands (there maybe other zones as well) but they seem to be rare to drop, even with treasure hunter 1.
Tree saplings I have no clue where to get these other then the AH :( ....maybe off of walking trees... ?

Cecelix, was wondering if you plant on any peticular day / etc? Or do you just plkant whenever and feed whenever. Whcih of the three items do you prefer?

Planting them on certain days does not make it better or worse as far as I know. I am in a huge Japanese LS who teach me everything, they nave not said anything about planting on certain days.
