Alright, here's the story in a nutshell... My brother likes to download a bunch of useless things off the internet. Well, his hard work finally paid off when I turned on the computer the other day and one of those "error screens" popped up. After trying all of the steps that it listed (none being successful) my bro put in the "system restore" disk. I guess it "nukes" your computer and brings it back to it's original, store bought stage. If you can't tell already, I don't know much about computers. Now for the bad news. My FFXI icon is gone (of course) so I'm going to have to reinstall it and re-patch it and yadda yadda ya... I don't recall my account name thingy, the one that is a buch of random letters and numbers. Is there a way that I'm going to be able to get my account back without signing up for a new one? I haven't installed it yet, so there my be a chance that I don't need to do anything at all and it will be peachy keen, but I don't have the time to patch it all right now, so if you know anything I can do about the situation, please feel free to give suggestions =)

Also why on earth is this in the Elvaan Race forum? You would have alot mroe answers if you posted in Main FFXI Forums. If you have anymore techinical problems its best to post it their.
