War/Nin Dual Weilding questionsFollow

Okay so I have a friend who is a paladin and we leveled up toegether and I am almost lvl 30 and am ready for my Adv job. I have used sword up until this point (I did not get the message that axes are better, and never used any 2 handers). So basically i want to be a damage dealer since I have a paladin friend.

So here is my question if I was a War/Nin should I:

A.) Dual weild 2 swords since I have a good weapon level in that. And also because dual centurian swords would give me (+12 attack? i dont know i dont feel like checkin it)
B.) 2 axes because Warriors are proficient....but the downside is I have no expierience with them, and I was lookin at their stats and they dont jump out at me. Plus they have no elemental or statistical improving attributes which is what dual weilding is really useful for I hear. (especially since Nin will be a sub)
C. I dont know if this is possible but I could dual weild 1 centurian sword and 1 axe?
D. I guess I could forget all this and get a Ranger or Dark Knight or something along that line but then I have to lvl it up all the way to 30 just to catch up with my friend so really I would rather not do this.

Any feedback is welcome.

You can always work up a skill.. Here's how skills go up.

Say you're not good in Axe. For example, you're 0 in it.

Ok, when you swing your weapon at the enemy, if you're skill with that weapon is LESS than the DEFENSE of the enemy, then the weapon skill can raise in points. So in this case, if you're Axes kill is 0, you could go back to fighting level 1 creatures and your axe skill would raise about 5 points. You would then need to move to harder things. I would say if you want to work up axe skill, go to Valkurm or something, and fight goblins for a while.

As far as dual wielding. The forumal is you add the delay of both weapons together, and then divide by 1.6
If you're dual wielding two axes, two swords, or an axe and a sword, its going to be very slow swinging.

Ninjas, the higher they get, get faster with swinging, but a subbed ninja, won't really get a noticeable increase. So you will always swing slow if you dual wield.

Centurian Swords are +4 attack +4 accuracy I think.

And my suggestion to you would be to go with Dark Knight and start over leveling that, and sub warrior to it. Its much easier leveling up the second time around, because most of your skills are already maxed.

Okay so....I dont really want to lvl up a dark knight because my friend is already a paladin at my level. So he would have to wait for me to get 30 with the dark knight. Plus I am sorry but I think that scythes looks stupid.

BUT ill think about it

Anyways so dual weild is slow I understand this. But you get double attack with warrior so that will help a little and IF I got dual centurians I would have + 8 attack and +8 accuracy...or should i get dual axes? I cant decide which would make me a better damage dealer. On one hand you have the bonuses from swords and the other the warriors proficiency in axes.

Or like you said I could get a dark knight and stop worrying about it....hmmmmmm. decisions. I just think dual weilding would be cool. And I really dont want to make my friend wait for me to catch up. ALTHOUGH he helped power lvl my theif sub to 15 in like an hour or 2 so maybe it wouldn't take TOO long...

If your friend is a paladin, dark knight would be the perfect class to go. Dark Knight is a damage dealer, and Paladin is a tank.

Lets do the math on this based on the earlier posters information
A centurion sword is 19/225 plus attack and accuracy bonuses
A Centurion Great Axe is 48/504

Both are level 30 weapons.

if you were to swing two 19/225's equally you would have the equivalent of a 38/225 weapon. However because there is a penalty on the second weapon you wont get that. The above poster says that you add the delays together and divide by 1.6
(225*2/1.6)=281.25. So you would have the equivalent of a 38/281 weapon.

How does the 48/504 compare to a 38/281 ...?

Well 48/504 = 95/1000 and (great AXE)
38/281 = 135/1000 (two centurions)

To me it looks like about 40% more damage output dual wielding.
As a warrior that recently acquired ninja skills and was interested in dual wield I quickly levelled to 10 and then tried it out. I havent yet parsed results but I can tell you there is a noticeable difference in damage output.

There were two additional bonuses for switching .. one is the extra stats for the sword over the axe and second the TP raises faster because I am hitting more often. I don't know what the additional dual wield skills will do when they are hit. But for now I am happy with this.

I know that Dark Knight would be the perfect pairing. But right now I am lvl 23/11 warrior/theif and he is a lvl 23 Paladin/War so.... He would have to wait for me to lvl my Darknight all the way up to 30! But he is very understanding ;) so maybe I could talk to him about it.

What would be better a dragoon or a Darknight maybe I could sub in Samurai...

All darkknights wear that stupid helmet that covers their face
:(. But I guess that shouldn't be my biggest concern I can just take it off in town.

Dark knight AF armor is one of the best looking if you ask me.

And as far as what the ninja dual wielding bonuses do.. it increases the amount you divide by .1

So.. 1.7, 1.8, 1.9

i agree with the previous poster. dark knight armor looks cool ... but ..... i'm not a big fan of scythes.

I've heard that dark knights are class A in scythes and class b in swords.

So i wouldn't be doing myself a favor going that path if i'm not willing to go scythes or it would be a waste to me anyway :/

Samurai on the other hand .... now theres a fancy job :) fast tp gain, good against demons, and also one of the best skill chain jobs in the game :) ( i looked at a chart too ).

A samurai can use cool looking great katanas their class A's in them and their armor looks rad =^_^=;
