FFXI in a windowFollow

#1 Jan 23 2004 at 6:10 PM Rating: Decent
I've read about it existing, and being forced to be within the game at all times while playing it just annoys me. If anyone knows the name of a program that will let me play windowed, or any information, please tell!

www.governmentissue.net has a program that lets you alt tab out of FFXI. It used the F10 button though instead of Alt tab.

Just to throw a shout again that Square-Enix wont tolerate any 3rd party programs. (They dont want people using hacks...etc while the game is running)

Yeah, neither did sony. I still used EQw for two years without any trouble. As did most.

This form of fixing hacking problems is just wrong. Why soley possess an expensive multitasking machine instead of finding a way to fix the problem (which by the way, many hacks, particullarly macros, are still easily done. Alot of others are run from another computer where the net access is being sent through).

Its like breaking a kid's fingers to keep him from picking his nose. It essentially can help the problem, but it makes many more and is just generally distasteful.

just curious if any of you have heard of the speed hack for final fantasy xi? It work even if you can't window FF. Forcing you to stay in fullscreen doesn't do anything to stop hackers. Do you know why? Becuase that what they do!!!! They get around protective measures!!! Thats why they're hackers, and nothing is ever going to stop them. As soon as another protection is made they find away around it, its a never ending cycle. My point is making things more difficult for the casual user is not the way to go about stopping hackers

ya...if you think about it, it seems to always be easier to destroy stuff then protect it.
For example...
Look at the world! We could blow the **** out of it if we wanted to, and someone help us if someone does decide to do it cause we can't stop it.
