I've just recently managed to crawl out of my corner in windurst and explore the wide world. I've managed to safely walk my way to san d'oria (boo to people who can ride chocobos!!), and now i find myself totally lost. Is there a compiled list somewhere of the map merchants for each region/city/dungeon? I'd like to have at least a map of san d'oria proper.

lol, i just realized i don't even know where the map seller is in my hometown of Windurst...

*blushes*

I sort of figured that since the map seller in Windurst sells maps of all the cities for I believe 200 gil a piece.

In any case, in Windurst Woods, under a yellow tent next to the big tree in the center of the area. I don't know his name, or the exact <pos>. But it's easy enough to find. As for Sand'Oria...I don't have a clue. I bought my map of that town in Windurst. Smiley: smile

NotCoach,
I find it very difficult to take anything you post seriously because everytime I read your posts, I'm staring at your underwear. For god's sake man, put some pants on.Smiley: blush

oooh yay! now i won't be so lost in san d'oria tonight. btw, are maps a set price across the whole game? or do they fluctuate depending on region control, and how far the place is from where you're buying?

I'm a bit frugal. =c) Trying to fund my crafting/fishing obsession.

Map Vendors:
============
Bastok (Market) | H-9 | Karine
Bastok (Port) | J-7 | Rex
Jeuno (Lower) | H-7 | Promurouve
Jeuno (Upper) | H-6 | Rusese
Mhaura | H-6 | Ludwig
Rabao | K-7 | Ashu Bolkhomo
San d'Oria (North) | I-8 | Elesca
San d'Oria (South) | G-10 | Violitte
Selbina | I-7 | Lombaria
Windurst (Port) | G-9 | Mhoji Roccoruh
Windurst (Woods) | H-11 | Pehki Machumaht

As for pricing, it seems like the starting cities are 200 gil, Jeuno map is 600 gil and the rest (for higher zones) go up from there. Plus some maps are only available from quests.
