Movies to Watch during MaintenceFollow

#1 Jan 23 2004 at 1:00 AM Rating: Decent
Heyas everybody.

Another lovely maintenance is about to hit us and we're all about to go straight to the forums to complain. Instead of complaining like normal, I thought I'd post some links to Final Fantasy related movies/videos/flash animation to keep you occupied during the boredom that is maintence =p

I take no credit for making these films, just linking them to you to watch =)

The first is the Taru movie made by the Bean linkshell. Posted on these forums awhile ago.

Next is a funny little D&D joke using the characters from Final Fantasy 1 to illistrate. If some of you youngins who never played it. The guy in the red hat is a Redmage, guy with blue hair is a Theif, the guy in the blue robe is a Black Mage and the guy in red with white hair is a Warrior. (during the bar scene the White Mage walks in and at the end the monk cameos as a gym coach)

The last is a funny little movie making fun of the Final Fantasy series with cameos from your favorite characters in Final Fantasy 1-10. =)

If anyone has anymore fun to watch movies/vidoes/flash animation related to Final Fantasy post a link in your reply =)

BTW, about the 8-bit D&D movie. The sound and voices and all that were taken from an easter egg from the game Summoner. It's basically a remake of that using FF characters and an intro.

Great idea for whiling away the unexpected evening!

And that reminds me that not everyone will know about 8-bit Theatre...which can while away a whole chocobo ride worth of spare time (375 episodes to date):

Just a note: The "Summoner D&D" skit used for that 8-bit one is actually by the Dead Alewives. They are a comedy troop led by Rob Schrab(sp?).

I have to say that the TaruTaru movie is probably the cutest thing I've ever seen. I watched it two days ago, and it had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. Hee ^_^

I actually watched the benchmark movie, the one that comes after the taru invasion of Kazham with all the completely amazing looking warriors in it. The hardcore quality of the characters in that one little cutscene is overwhelming; after seeing it, I wanted to be a dragoon badly.

I personally think you should all go to www.gametrailers.com and scope out the two new Metal Gear Solid games. But, that's just me.
